I stated this in earlier response but wanted to make it a main topic. I really think Oregon is going to go through what Bama nation just went through.
Bama came out smoking. Beating a what looked like at the end of the year a much improved Michigan team. Afterwards Bama tore through their competition very impressively. Talking heads were penciling us in the big game as if it was good as done, some saying we could play nfl teams, some saying the best complete college football team ever on and on and on praise praise praise. Even me as bama fan telling my friends after week four i don't see anyone giving us a game on our regular season schedule except for maybe LSU, and would not be suprised if we beat them by 14 or 17. Telling my wife it is getting somewhat boring watching us kill everyone and they are going to quit putting us on TV if people keep turning it off at halftime LOL.
THEN CAME THE STRETCH THAT HUMBLED A LOT OF PEOPLE BOUT BAMA. THE STRETCH OF MISS. ST, LSU, AND TEXAS AM.................
Oregon has came out smoking blowing people away. Beating a USC team that seemed to be much improved from last year like Michigan. Talking Heads and majority of nation has penciled them in to big game as if it is done deal. Everybody talking about this freshman Oregon QB as if he is the next best thing. On and on and on praise praise praise. Sound familiar Bama fans.
NOW ENTER THE STRETCH A PHYSICAL STANFORD TEAM THAT WANTS TO TAKE THE PAC 12 NORTH AWAY FROM OREGON AND GIVE TO THEMSELVES. REPAY THE DUCKS FOR RUINING THEIR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BID LAST YEAR. THEN A VERY TALENTED RIVAL OREGON ST IN THE BEAVERS BACKYARD. THEN IF THEY BEAT STANFORD IF, ONE AGAIN IF THEY BEAT STANFORD A HUNGRY UCLA TEAM OR TALENTED USC TEAM FOR PAC 12 CHAMPIONSHIP.
It will be very interesting to see if all Talking Heads and most of nation will be singing a different tune about the ducks after this stretch. It will be interesting to see if they forget about how awesome they are and realize they are not everything they or saying now. Just like they are not saying the same things about Bama as they were a few weeks ago.
Deja vu for ducks i think so
Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the case. In my mind it's almost a given that ND will go down.

I hope you're right, but I don't think Stanford has the speed to keep up. Remember, Andrew Luck only lost 3 games in his last 2 years, and 2 of them were to Oregon. Neither game was close.
If Stanford is even in the game at the half. It will be a shock to me. Just too slow of a team overall imho.

Great points bout stanford vs oregon. My point is the stretch of three tough opponents will do oregon in as it did bama. Sounds like you guys or big on oregon . But lot of people was big on bama before our stretch of tough games not so much now. My other point was all the people that are big on oregon will not be in few weeks. I will have to eat crow if the ducks make it through this stretch undefeated just dont think they will
Agreed. I hate to say it but I see them getting progressively worse every year Harbaugh isn't there. They walk a fine line between being a well coached team of overachievers and being, well, Stanford.
Not so fast my friend. The Stanford D held a pretty potent USC offense to 14 points. Another point about Stanford is their power rushing attack, and Oregon currently has 4-5 DL that are injured or banged up. If Stanford can get a few stops (and that's a big if), I think they can hang with the ducks. They've just got to get that running game going, keep the duck O on the sidelines, and lean on em with that big OL. Go Cardinals!

U do realize that USC lost like 3 oline guys in that game right? Barkley was running for his life & getting pounded! It was also earlier in the year. I see Oregon winning 42-27. & that is because Oregon still isn't that great on defense.
For Bama to sneak in the BCS Championship, I would count on K. State losing to Texas and ND losing to USC. Don't see Oregon losing. JMHO.
Here's to hoping they all lose twice so we can get an all sec championship game again. Of course, FL would have to beat FSU in this scenario, but let's face it...it's wishful thinking anyway. Why not?
Just keep in mind guys stanford has a lot to play for.
1. If trees win they control their own destiny to pac 12 championship game just have to beat UCLA the next week. Just saying their is a chance Ducks want be playing in pac 12 champ game.
2. Revenge for the past two years when Ducks ruined the Trees dreams\
3. Oregon desimated up front defensivly had to play a 205 lb d end at nose against cal and he and others got blown off ball. There is a good chance Trees can control clock keep Ducks off field. And if they can get couple Turnovers a upset very real posability
"Quit trying to make a play and do your job!"
I like Oregon as well but anytime you are playing those 55-45 type shoot outs you are going to have a chance to go down. USC has the firepower to beat them.
Stanford can win and if they can keep Oregon off the field the first half they have a shot. With their lack of overall speed, I hope they can keep the Oregon offense in front of them and keep Barner out of the second level. Otherwise could be a drubbing.
So your saying that several injuries on the line of scrimmage can have a big effect on a game that probably would have otherwise turned out differently? That's the point I was making with Oregon's beat up DL and secondary. I'm not saying that Stanford will win, but I think there is a decent shot.
Oregon can survive giving up points. Problem is USC can score with them. But Stanford's style of play & athletes. Is much different from USC. I say 42-27 Oregon

Completely agree. Just thought that the other two have a better chance of losing, but after reading into Oregon's defensive injuries, it looks like all three teams have a decent shot at losing. All we can do is win out...JUST WIN BAMA!
Sry guys have to gloat see ducks are not invincible same story every year. They might not even make it to PAC 12 champ game

Same story every year everybody falls in love with that flashy duck offense untill a solid d shuts them up. Auburn two years ago,lsu last year, stsnford this year.
They will do same next year win by 50 get everybody excited then a actual ligit defense will make fools out of duck lovers
stanford - a representative of the sec of the west coast - lol - ya gotta love it RTR
