I'm not really concernd with the barn but I do not think Ga will be a push over by any means.
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
Even if all that is true, what would you suggest we do about it? Even if every Bama fan talked up every opponent and stayed completely level headed (yeah right), there would still be the media talking them up, they would still be ranked #2, they would still be 10-1 knowing if they win the next 2 games their dreams of playing for the BCS will come true.
There's no way to avoid that pressure and them hearing they are a great team because that's exactly what they are. Thinking you can keep that fact a secret from the players and somehow magically keep them humble is a fool's quest.

"Quit trying to make a play and do your job!"
Well, one thing is for sure, there is no overconfidece in your spelling ability...
I will pass along your concern about the team to CNS in case he might not have thought about it
On behalf of all Bama fans everywhere, we thank you,,
I think it comes down to AJ. Period. If he has a good game we win easy. Else its a toss up.
My point was that fans, media, etc. can create an atmosphere that spills over team (or any organization) that is made to feel they have nothing to worry about from any opponent. I think that is the reason we struggled against LSU and also lost to TAMU. I have seen it since 1959, not only at Alabama, and not only in football, that if you are told you are so good you have nothing to worry about that you often get shocked.
This schitt ^^^ gets so damned old. It's a term that's, now, so overused, it hurts my eyes. Please find another malaprop to burn us out with.
Is it that time of the month for you?

I know it appears to be. Just seeing that term for the umpteenth time just pushed me over the edge. It's beyond overused.
Of course this team is over confident. It has been almost 2 weeks since our last loss. LULZ............
OP assumes that players get overconfident because fans are overconfident, which in turn assumes that players place some value in fans knowledge of the sport. That would be an invalid assumption. Most players think most fans are about as ignorant about big time football as they are about brain surgery. That would be a valid conclusion.
