VanDeuche runs a 4-3. So did their last DC. Won't be too much of a difference there. I think they improve a lot on D. The offense will be stagnant.

"On paper" they should be a 5 to 7 win team. I hope they lose every game, but many of you are forgetting one key element. That element is stupid barn luck. I can't tell you how many times I've watched them losing in the fourth quarter (usually against lesser opponents), laughing my ass off, only to have some bozo on the other team cough up the ball while running out the clock, or an official giving wrong spots, or calling some obscure, unheard of rule, guaranteeing barn victory. I've never seen a team win so many games off of plain old weirdness. Many of these are games in which they have been dominated everywhere except the score. Once again, I'll watch their games, hoping to see the wheels fall completely off. But this year, I'll expect the stupid barn luck instead of being surprised and let down about it. I'll say 8 to 9 wins, including the bowl. Are they that good? No. Are they that lucky? Usually.
No better than 7-5.

And coaching staff if likewise overvalued by their fans...
barn will not lose less than 5 games.

A lot of pipe dreams over there. I say 7-5, maybe 8-4.
My two cents...
Clemson- Toss-up (0.5-0.5)
MSU- Toss-up (1-1)
ULM- Win (2-1)
LSU- Loss (2-2)
Arkansas- Toss-Up (2.5-2.5)
Ole Miss- Win (3.5-2.5)
Vandy- Toss-Up (4-3)
A&M- Toss-Up (4.5-3.5)
NMST- Win (5.5-3.5)
UGA- Loss (5.5-4.5)
Ala A&M- Win (6.5-4.5)
Bama- Loss (6.5-5.5)
Either 7-5 or 6-6. They are the luckiest program in the country, so give them 1 more win.
They either finish 8-4 or 7-5.
7-5 at best.
Honestly, I see them losing to the exact same 5 teams as they did last year. I think they'll lose to Clemson in ATL because I think Clemson is simply the better team and Frazier is still young, inexperienced, and really not a very good passer. I don't think he'll be ready to lead AU to such a big win in Game 1. They get LSU and Arkansas at home but I think both of those teams are far better than AU right now. They lost to both by 24+ last year and I don't see them making up a whole lot of ground on two teams I think will be just as good as they were last year...not with the personnel AU has right now. UGA is a toss-up now because of how utterly disastrous that team has become but UGA certainly has more talent. And of course we'll crush them in BDS.
So, maybe they will go 8-4 but let's not forget they still have to go to MSU and Vandy, two teams that could certainly give them trouble. Auburn won 7 last year but keep in mind they lost 5 that weren't close and could have lost a couple more easily. I honestly see another 7-5 for them, 8-4 would be best case, IMO.
No farking way awbarn goes 9-3, no way in hell. They will struggle to get to 7-5.
They will lose to Arky, Clemson, A&M, Uga, Lsu, Bama, and have a really good chance of losing in Starkville and at Vandy. That is being realistic.
I think the Arky game with Petrino gone. Will be this years South Carolina game for them. They get lucky as hell & get a W in that one imho. Talent or not. I got 0 faith that John L. Smith will be winning SEC road games.

Fairly accurate, they'll need every ball to bounce their way and have to stay injury free to get to 9-3, with the reality being 8-4/7-5 unless there are injuries or the ball bounces the other way in which case 6-6 or 5-7 is a real possibility.
There defensive line will be very very good, I don't expect many teams to run the ball well against Auburn. However, they are young at DB and are thin and slow at Linebacker. If the d-line can't get to the QB their defense will be improved, but will still get beat a lot.
All indications are they'll likely start a RS Freshman at LT (Robinson), with John Sullen a Sr. at LG, Dismukes at C, Mack or Weterman at RG and Chad Slade at RT backed-up by a true Freshman. If Auburn fans think that offensive line isn't going to cost them at-least one game they're nuts.
If AU goes 8-4 the bowl game is a must win for Chizik, 9-4 looks a ton better than 8-5 (again).
If AU goes 7-5 or worse AU fans will want to see 10 or more wins in 2013.
AU fans don't want to admit it, but they're stuck with Chizik as long as he wins 8 or so games every year.
