We are in rare air, with alot on the line. Why on earth do we need to worry about who they are looking for as a head coach? Will it make a win versus Georgia, and a trip to Miami more memorable? Ask yourself, where did you watch the Auburn press conference that named Chiz, and then ask yourself Where did you watch the Bama overhauling of LSU last year in the Superdome? If you can answer the first half without answering the second half then you are on the wrong page, and the Butt Hurtgetya page is for you, if you answered the second half of that question, then forget about who our brother is taking to the prom next year, and start focusing on this week and the biggest game we have had this year. Right now I am pumped up and excited about being in this game, but I will say I am almost shocked at the lack of excitement I see from alot of fans. I might get downvoted through the floor for this, but we need to realize this is the 4th quarter of this season, this is what we have worked for as a program, and we need to treat this game with the intensity and excitement that we had in 2008 when we played Florida in the SECCG. We expect intensity from our team so we need to support them and get pumped about this game with the same intensity that we expect from them. I am an Alabama fan, not because of the titles from before I was born, nor for that struggle that we overcame when I was growing up, but because of an October in the 81 when I went with my father to Legion Field for the first time, I watched a legend walk on the field, and I heard the Million Dollar Band play Yeah Alabama and Rock Top played by the hated team from the north for the first time. I smelled the air, I felt the fall breeze, and I knew that this was the greatest game anyone could play. It is not the news of another programs that fuels my passion, but the memories of those early games, and the excitement of knowing that on saturdays that young boy that looked up at his Dad and asked who the man with the hat was, can still be felt as I hear the band, smell the fall breeze, and know that Alabama Football is where it should be. Can you give this same speech after fan-game practice tomorrow night? It will help all of us with our nerves before we watch more film of Georgia's special teams.
I wish people would but I've learned...
On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
Try as you may, a catastrophe is a catastrophe and human nature dictates that we look. It happens during a NASCAR crash, a highway crash, a dumpster fire, and any other example of visual destruction. I think that is why people are so interested. If Auburn was doing well right now it would be UT grabbing the board's attention.
This, and not to mention that watching Auburn constantly screw up the HC hiring process is worth watching for its comedic value. Who will ever forget the Auburn fan at the airport to greet Chiz when he was hired? Comic gold. To those religious wackos who think Auburn is holier than thou, that guy must be labelled a prophet.

"Touch that thang four" - Courtney Upshaw
Tell us what we should do coach.. How should we be preparing. Wanna make sure I use my prep time correctly and not waste it on a message board talking about the next AU or Arky coach.
I have my tailgate food pepped and game day stuff ready...
What should I do,, please tell me since we should not discuss or focus on anything but Bama?
Should I go to work?
I attended every game this year, I cheered loudly, stood acted like a good fan.
I have also discovered that my message board posts the week leading up to the game did not have any influence on the outcome.
But since we should adhere to a certain standard, that you seem to be aware that we are not, please advise me on how to focus, prepare, get excited.
I have roughly a grand tied up in my game prep. ( food tix etc.).
I think that is a good example of excitement and focus,, perhaps I am mistaken?
But if I am hurting the team by discussing coaching vacancies around the conference please let me know.
I laughed :)
Nothing we do here hurts the team, I doubt very seriously that members of the team care what a message board posse want to talk about on a Weds. What I hate to see is the passion of a fan base change. We used to be excited over getting 2 4 star recruits, now we get mad that they are not all 5 star, I know we are spoiled right now because we are at a peak, I just get frustrated that people would rather talk about Bobby Petrino and if the helmet law in Alabama will be a deal breaker, rather than realizing that in Georgia the story is they are having the biggest game in 30 years for them. We are treating it almost like an afterthought. How disappointed will you be if Alabama loses? I know we can not control the game, because we do not play it. I do think that the energy you get from a crowd can almost be felt, and I know that we have all read where recruits and players alike talk about the energy of a stadium. All I want is to have that kind of excitement, If having a crowd be passionate about a game was not important, then Saban would not have mentioned on NUMEROUS instances that the crowd played a part in motivating his team on given days. All I am saying is to me, the most important thing this week is Georgia, and I want to know everything about them, their press releases, their players statements, and how prepared our team is.
Wait, what? You covered the team not reading message boards, recruiting stars, helmet laws, lack of big games for UGA, Bobby P, Bama losing, and crowd energy all in one post. Holy sh!t balls bro...
I'm a MAN.
I can do both.
Make fun of our in state rivals misery and still focus enough on the game with UGA to ensure a win.
