Insert patient bear here.
Message to players today was will you play better than the last opportunity.
First unit did, but not enough guys are where they need to be - especially with the depth.
A lot of young players, enthusiastic, need more knowledge and experience and we're going to work with them.
A.J. played well. Didn't start out well offensively. Better as went along.
Hitter a little crisper.
Didn't throw as much.
White scrimmage. Jones and Norwood did well.
First-unit D looked good, a couple of mistakes that cost them.
A lot of lessons to be learned. That's what we want to do in spring practice.
Vinnie Sunseri, Jessse Williams, Calb Castille sprained ankles.
Lester strained knee - not serious.
Fowler ran better.
Yeldon got some experience.
First offense had better balance.
Second offensive line couldn't do anything.
AJ consistently good all spring - didn't have as many opportunities.
Sims didn't throw much. Did some other things.
Need some more playmakers on defense, need to develop some more. Have some guys on line. IN secondary - Vinnie has been.
Explosive players on offense, some of the guys recruited last year are beginning to show that.
Saban says Happy Easter everyone.
ok - had to check this, Cooper getting a look on kick returns, Jones, Hart and Belue in mix on punt returns
Fowler 22-151, 3 TDs - 68-yard run in a situational drill
McCarron 14-29 160, 3 TDs, 1 int.
White 5-112, 2 TDs
Jones 5-61, 2 TDs
Mandell 12 punts, 42.0, longest 56
Foster 3-6, 50, 20, 20. Misses 46, 36, 32. No FGs for Shelley
Mandell 12 punts, 42.0, longest 56
Someone has improved dramatically.
I hope white brings those stats to game day.
