Yeah Saban is older than Belichick so I really do not see the New England ownership throwing down that kind of cash for someone who would be around 4 years tops. If he really was to retire I could see someone getting promoted from within. Josh McDaniels could be a possibility further down the road.
The absolute best reason I've ever seen as to why Nick Saban probably will never venture back to the NFL was summed up thusly: In the NFL, you get one first round pick each year. In college, you can recruit and sign four or five first round picks per year.
I also had no idea until this thread that Bilichek was younger than Saban, and there has been a significant trend of getting younger in the coaching ranks around the NFL.
