If we lost Aj to injury how much trouble would we be in ? Didnt look promising yesterday.
Tough to judge them on how they played yesterday, IMO.
I was disappointed in Blake Sims performance but that was offset to some degree by some of the promise I saw out of Alec Morris & the comments that I heard CNS make after the scrimmage, when he said that Blake's performance was not indicative of how he's improved through the course of spring practices, including the last 2 scrimmages.
While yesterday's action probably makes me less optimistic about how well off we'd be if something were to happen to AJ next year, I was still impressed enough with how Alec looked in his limited action, & with some of the throws that each of the 3 freshman made in their appearances, to feel good about where we'll be at that position in the future.
we are in a lot better situation than last year, not sure why you don't think that is promising.
we would be in a world of hurt!
Up until yesterday Blake has had a great spring. I wouldn't bet against us without AJ. With that being said I hope we never have to find out.
There is a good amount of talent behind AJ, but very little experience.
Alec will get PT this fall, get a few "love spanks" from CNS late in games on national tv and slowly mature into a fine QB--sound familiar?
By the, he almost got his first spanking after the fumbled handoff.

Agreed, Alec is a big kid 6'3" probably is the type that is likely to tuck it and run when he needs to to pick up 5 or 6, and while his accuracy was not perfect he clearly had the strongest arm of all the back ups. Coach DN will get the accuracy where it needs to be.
