I wonder if the Miami situation is a factor on his decision to take a pro job...Staff or Anyone....RTR
I've asked the same question myself.
wouldn't surprise me
It's a fair question, and as I posted yesterday Stoutland reportedly cooperated fully with investigators so I don't think he was looking at any sort of penalties. Ask me after everything comes out though, and I'll obviously have a better understanding.
However, two points that I think can't be overlooked: 1) The Eagles really went after him hard and not the other way around, and 2) His stock as a position coach will never be higher.
I bet he got a nice raise too.
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
Would bet against it at this time because Joe Pannunzio is still at UA and there was substantially more targeted testimony against him than Stoutland. Unless more facts came to light implicating Stoutland, I don't see why you would force him out and keep Pannunzio who clearly had a more involved relationship with Shapiro
Maybe. Really interested in the next hire for the OL. Coach usually goes for experience when choosing an OL coach.
Lots of raw young talent on the OL; going to need lots of coaching; I'm glad CNS is making the hire. For some reason I think things will be just fine. Not so sure I could have said that a few years, and coaches, ago.
