A lot of people have their oppinions on him, but to be honest. RF is a great young man with a big heart.

"To be the best; you have to beat the best...and BAMA is the best...'nuff said. ROLL TIDE!!"
Reading the Yeldon transcript was a little tough for some (including Kirby who I know was sort of pissed initially) but you know whatever it's not that big of a deal. I appreciate the post. Would love to have Reuban, he looks like a true student of the game the way he reads the play on the field.

If he truly does come first to you then you need to advise him that Saban is someone he needs in his life.
People who truly bash a kid like this guy had been bashed. Are truly sad, sad people. Who take everything way too seriously imho. Lighten up & live a little life people!

Would love to have him, great prospect.
People are going to have their opinions, and Ruben has brought a lot of this on himself. He was clearly playing games with Alabama and this fanbase prior to flipping to Auburn. He can't do that and then expect everyone will just forget about it. That being said, you are doing the right thing in putting this kid's interests first. The best place for him is Alabama, and I think you know as well as anyone if he comes back to Alabama and does things the right way during the rest of the process and while here, he will be welcomed with open arms. He has not done anything that can't eventually be undone, but it is upon him to demonstrate that he's as mature as you say he is.
And for the record, whatever happens, I genuinely appreciate the updates you have provided on RF throughout the process.
I get the impression that he is a people pleaser. It's hard for that type of person to say no to one person much less a coaching staff and entire fan base. Being able to only say yes to one school and please one set of fans must be hard on someone like that.
He made a decision based on what was best for him and his girl. His girl is first priority. He regrets a lot just charge it. Remember he's only 18.
We want him in crimson this fall.
I don't that anyone would fault him for that. It was his concerted efforts to troll Alabama and the fanbase that people hold against him. And that goes far beyond his reading of TJ's press release. Again, nothing that can't be undone and he will be embraced, but he has to demonstrate that. He may be a mature kid, but as Saban likes to say, "What you do speaks so loudly I can't hear what you say." He just needs to show it through his actions now.
@Kinglaw4 do you think he ends up at AU?
RF's "issues" I feel have largely stemmed from people he was associating with. He is a hell of a player with no character, criminal, or drug issues. Like CNS has said its not about getting good players. Its about getting the right good players. I think RF is that kind of guy. I'd love to see him in crimson.
Never Gets Old
this site is awesome. i don't know who you are, but i trust that you are someone close to the situation. thank you for posting and for clarifying. you're absolutely right too. people forget what it's like to be 18.
Their best interest was to commit to that clown of a staff that isn't even there anymore? I would think the best interest of his daughter would be to make the decision that would provie the best possible future for her. It is pretty obvious that it was a terrible decision to associate himself with that staff, especially the worst one of the bunch.
The staff they have now is much better, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stick with them. They should be able to provide a better foundation than the previous staff.

Would love to have RF, seems like a genuine kid that has enjoyed the process.
Of course we think Bama would be the best place for RF to grow as a person, football player, and a father too. IMO, there is no better place to prepare for success in the future, whether it be the NFL or in life off the field.
I think he's either a family member, or he's close to a family member of RF's.
no im neither just a te'o hoax lol
Second time you said that. Care to elaborate?
And if he knows what's best for him, why in the world would he get mixed up with Chiz and the gang?
Im not close to him just a fan that would know how a 18 year old think. As fans we need to cheer for him where ever he ends up at.
Understand I am asking this out of curiosity. Why does he have a legit interest in Washington? Would that not be the worst thing he could possibly do? Would his mom and daughter be able to move out there?
I would love to have him back at Alabama.
who cares? he will help us win
If this is true then we all got trolled.
Agreed. The guy's talent is undeniable.
