I will be brief. You have to go with That 2009 Team as #1.... They played against better talent. Even Tennessee was pretty good led by Eric berry. And last but not least, They go straight to #1 Based on their record alone. That 2009 team went undefeated 14-0. The 2011 Team would rank #2 because they had a wayyyyy better defense than this year's team featuring Mark barron, Upshaw, Hightower and others and had a Pretty damn good offense led by Trent. This years team "2012" would be last because 2012 was suppose to be our "Reloading" /Growing Year. Even though we were ranked #1 in total defense, Defenses in 2009 and 2011 were head and shoulders better. The offense we had this year was the best we've had in Alabama history though. Wow.... it is great to be a Alabama fan. All 3 teams were great and are National Champions. So My Ranking is
#1 2009 Team
#2 2011 Team
#3 2012 Team
Next years team may be better than all 3! lol! "SICK" Roll Tide!!! We are at another level. Dynasty <===
HaHa...good luck washing that awesome off.

But they're really close to even in my eyes. Love each team!

1. 2012 - Hard to beat slapping ND Around for 4 Quarters. Also beating Georgia in SEC Championship was very nice as Well.
2. 2009 - Going Undefeated and winning in the Rose Bowl was pretty Sweet. Also Making Tebow Cry in SEC Championship
3. 2011 - More than likely the best of the 3 teams, but rematch was nice just not as exciting as the other 2 Years. Missed the SEC Championship Game as well,
Although this year's O is much better
Give me the 2012 offense (with healthy Fowler/White/Bell) and 2011's defense. That'd be one unbelievable team.
Most people seem to rank 2011 ahead of 2012 because of the defense which was better, than 2012 I agree. On the flip side the 2012 offense was more ahead of the 2011 offense than the 2011 defense was over the 2012 defense.
Not sure how to rank these 2 but we love the 2011 team because of the D but I love 2012 because of the O.
Holy crap, that just wouldn't have been fair.
Best team or best season? The best team or the one I'd pick to win against the other two is 2011. 2012 is easy choice for second. I think 2009 while going undefeated loses handidly to 2011 and probably 2012.
I don't think 2009 was the most complete team actually. 2012 had the best offense by far, the 2nd best defense among the three, and special teams were strong as well.
2009 went undefeated and there is something to be said for that but if we are talking who the best of the three teams is and how to rank them based on who is better I can't put 2009 above either 2012 or 2011.
Well if thats a silly question then this whole discussion is silly cause none of them will ever play one another lol. I understand where you are coming from, I just think that the 2011 offense would stand a better chance of putting up some sort of production against the 2009 D, than the 2009 offense would against the 2011 D.
Gotta agree 100% here. That team is a better team than any the 11 & 12 teams beat. & they only had 1 week to prepare for the game. Best win of the Saban Era imho. Based on the talent of the team.

Going by record is what got Notre Dame in the title game, when it's pretty obvious that they weren't one of the top 2 teams.
2. 2012(QB play gets this one)
It's coming...sit tight.
I think the 2009 team was the most legendary and accomplished the biggest win of the saban era when they dismantled the undefeated, dynasty-in-the-making Gators.
I was on the sidelines for the warm up and Florida had the best looking bunch of athletes I have ever seen. About 20 of those guys not including Tebow are starters in the NFL today. Ingram and Rolando and crew beat down a great great team. They're the best in my opinion!!
I'd really like to see what Vegas would think about these teams playing one another. I think I read earlier this season about how 2011 would be a 6-7 point favorite over 2012.
ut was not pretty good that year. They played their best game of the year against us, but they went 7-6 that year which included being blown out by Ole Miss by 25 points.
they were miles better than they are now. capable of upsetting teams at least, obv.
Look as far as accomplishments and perfection you can't beat 2009. But as far as if you had a 3 team round robin and who would win on a field I would rank them this way:
2011 - 7 vs 2012
2011 - 13 vs 2009
11--Best defense ever. Underrated offense. Unbelievable athletes at LB and in the secondary. Milliner was the nickelback for crying out loud!
09--Incredible running attack. One of the best defenses ever led by a true field general (McClain). Beat the best teams outta the 3 title teams (something like 9 or 10 bowl wins including 2 other BCS winners).
12--Explosive offense, best I've seen in my lifetime. Great defense but nothing historical. Lost to a worse team than 2011's team and had an easier schedule and struggled more than the other 2 teams did.
