G-Mac getting no love from the coach after obviously being the fan favorite. I hope the Jags light up Sanchez on Sunday, which I know is asking a lot from one of the worst franchises in the league. No offense TR
Ryan's stupidity is almost unparalled.
Is there a source on this?
If so, that's probably the GM's call, and not Rex's call. I think RR was sold on starting GMac until he met with the GM last night. Sanchez is the GM's "baby" and the GM made massive deals to get him to NY, so his ego outweighs it all at this point.
1960 Les Paul
The stupidity is with Mike Tannebaum. Worst in the biz and has put Rex in a bad spot.
On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
He's going to get fired for this.
trade G-Mac to the Chiefs...
Fired is the least of his worries. Hell he might get shot if he trots that loser back on the field. Never seen a group of fans more fed up with their leadership and calling for change only to see that leadership basically tell them to F themselves.
He is an idiot!
If by some bizarre reason Rex and Sanchez are back next year, the Jets will have to get rid of both Tebow and McElroy to make sure there's no names the fans can chant every game after Sanchez's third interception.
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
Just confirms what we all already knew, Rex Ryan is an idiot. He has sealed his fate going against owership's preference. Hang in GMac, maybe you can leave that circus and get you shot for a team that has a real shot at winning.
Think any of this has anything to do with Greg's comments from last year? (which he was obviously right about, btw)
Ownership preference?? Ownership just gave Sanchez a fat contract.
How much worse could you run an organization? I would much rather have a GM who takes chances, misses and then tries to move on rather than this pathetic attitude of "I picked this guy so I have to be right." Sanchez has had his opportunity and he can't get it done in New York.
McElroy may be even worse than Sanchez, but why not just see what you have. The Jets aren't going to the playoffs, so let McElroy play a few games and see what happens. If it turns into a dumpster fire, so what? You are in the exact same shape you are now. If he shows you something, then you get praised as a genius for drafting him and keeping him on the roster through his injury last year.
It's a no lose situation for the Jets at this point, and the organization can't see that over their ego.
One of the best fantasy football sites...
He might start the game, but if things go badly, I bet Ryan will put Greg in quickly.
I got a DV for this? lol, guess I offended the lone Sanchez fan on the board.
Guys the Jets have no choice but to start Sanchez the rest of this season and next season. Sanchez is guaranteed 8.5 million dollars next year....they can't get rid of hm without swallowing that kind of cap hit. Mike Tannenbaum is the worst GM in football for giving him that contract.
Agreed. This isn't Rex Ryan's fault. He didn't want Tebow either. This isn't college football where the coaches control everything. You have ownership and stupid GM's like Tannenbaum that make these dumb personnel decisions. I'm a huge Redskins fan, so I know all about this (g)
Rex Ryan is a hell of a coach imo. He says dumb things to the media but I think he can be successful in this league but not with dummies like Tannenbaum. Ask Saban what he thinks of Rex Ryan.

If the game was in New York...no way Sanchez starts. Wish it was though, the chants would be awesome!
They keep playing Mark because they're paying him so much money. Though I do love how he gets to keep making millions without being very good. Where can I get that job?
Become AU's head coach.
Rex Ryan just sealed that he won't be the Jets head coach for very long.
Owners/GM of the Jets are morons.
