He may be struggling to cover this week. But there is no doubt about his ability to come up and make a tackle.
I hope he at least gets draft somewhere and gets his chance that's he's worked so hard for.
I remember when the round table said he was offered only to get Julio. I hope he gets his chance

Whether he was or wasn't. He has been a major piece of the puzzle on our Defense during these Title runs.
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
In all honesty Julio Jones is the reason Robert Lester got his scholarship because if coaches weren't watching Julio Jones and ESPN didn't come to watch Julio Jones, Lester might have been missed. I don't know if it happened just like this but I remember that Daphne and Foley were playing on ESPN and Jones was the only one of the two to have a Bama scholarship. Jones had a good game (not great by his standards) including the game winning catch but was triple and quadruple teamed on every single pass. I swear the refs told Daphne they could play 15 guys cuz Jones was never once 1 on 2 even, it was always, including the game-winner, 1 on 3 or more.
Anyways, back on topic, I feel like during that Daphne game, Lester made like 15 or 16 tackles and had somehow been on the good end of 1 or 2 turnovers and was just all out balling. They kept mentioning how his only offers were like Southern Miss or some lower-tier local area schools and I just remember thinking that Lester that night was the most dominant player on the field. The next day or two I saw on Rivals (old school BOL if you will) that Lester got his scholarship offer and was soon afterwards on our commit list. I'll always recall that Daphne game as the Robert Lester breakout game.

Lester was a 4-star recruit himself. Did having Julio as a teammate help him with getting some attention? Yes, but Lester had offers from all over the place because he was a 6'2" 205 pound safety with sub-4.6 speed.
Lets stop acting like Lester got a pity scholarship and is a "rags to riches" story.
Lester needs to be in a defense that runs the Tampa 2 or somewhere he can just play centerfield. Not a cover guy in man, but reads the QBs and makes plays when he can sit back.

I dont think anyone is saying he got a pity scholarship, simply people went to games to see Julio then went, "wait, whos this Lester kid? He can flat out play"
