Is adamant that McElroy should be the Jets starter this week on ESPN this morning. Said it gives them best chance of winning. That team rallied around him and Sanchez looked happier on the sideline taking notes. Rex Ryan was non committal but lot of pressure on that team now. Jaworski made a good case for his stance on McElroy.
Not many ever expected Mac to be a NFL starter but it could happen this week.

Jaws (aka "The Polish Rifle") has been pushing for GMac to play for weeks now.

Get em' Greg!

I would give him a shot. At this point what can it hurt?
Not a thing. I thought it was much smarter for him to play McElroy instead of Tebow. Tebow does that, Rex could never put Sanchez back in or the fans would revolt IMO.
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
Agree. Will never understand the reason for the Tebow trade. Ryan/ Jets too much about show imo. Worried about making the news and being the buzz around town.
i think gmac can handle the pressure. he has been in enough big games to manage.
Agreed. worst he can do is what Sanchez has been doing all season. He went out and got a win, now let's see what he can do with a full week to prepare.

Good point and he's a smart guy who has had plenty of time to absorb the playbook. Knowing him he has memorized it. LOL
i'm sure he has been teaching sanchez the book too!
Oh yeah, that's a no doubter. Rex accomplished to do one thing I didn't think was possible, create more drama.
Would be nice to have an Alabama guy win as a Starting QB. How long has it been?
This. No kidding . He's by far the smartest QB on the team and good leader in the huddle. Without all the ra ra.
Back in the day, I ran a 3.9 in the 20
Absolutely true. Why else would Ryan BEG Adam Sandler to let him "act" (loose use of the term) in his movies? He's an attention whore of the highest degree with a HUGE ego problem.
Tebow was unavailable due to injury. They kept it monkey simple for Greg but clearly the team was rejuvenated and Sanchez handled it well.
I'm sure there should be a foot fetish joke in there somewhere
Believe Brodie started a few games for the Chiefs. But not many in recent years.
I think the key word there was "win".
Agreed 100% but my only issue is some are even saying if he has success the rest of the way out that he's still not the answer. WHY? I just don't get it...
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
He might have won one of those. I don't remember.
He started 8 games (6 in 2007, 1 in 2008, 1 in 2009), all losses. He did take a snap in 2 wins. In 2006, he was 0 for 0 in a win against the 49ers. In 2010, he was 1 for 2 in a win against the Titans. Those are the only games he's ever seen action in where his team won.

this is pretty much it. you know what tebow can do. might as well try the little guy and see what happens.
Tebow was medically cleared to play by the team doctors. Rex held him out, there's a difference and the significance of this move will be enhanced if GMAC plays significant time next week. The crowd was instantly rejuvenated the second McElroy started warming up on the sideline which transpired to the players. If they kept it monkey simple for Greg it was due to his lack of game experience only. I don't think there's any question he knows the plays. Give him a chance practicing with the ones and they can run whatever play they want to next week. Greg's too smart to assume otherwise.
Not many in the media have a better grasp of x's and o's and the QB position, so if he says McElroy should be playing in addition to what all of us are seeing, it should be pretty obvious.
