Not that it matters now but I just watched the game again and that roughing the passer call was awful. He did not even get hit.
I watched the game at a bar and we all agreed it was a bogus call
Worst BS call I've seen all year. Didn't effect EG whatsoever. But to be fair, I think Eifert caught that pass on the first drive so give one take one I guess.
Not as bad as holding call on Norwood...
Literally the worst flag I've seen this year. Glad it didn't hurt us.
The TE catch/no catch and halo penalties were iffy at least.
"The Lord just wasn't with us, Coach."
"The Lord," grumbled Bryant, "expects you to block and tackle."

I agree totally. I couldnt believe they called holding.
Yeah it was pretty bad.
The refs got confused. Both Golson and Te'o wear number 5. They thought Geno was throwing a punishing block on Te'o and were trying to protect him. When Geno touched Golson, Te'o fell down on the sideline.

I'll have to rewatch it but I was pretty pissed when it happened. Geno barely touched Golson and looked like he actually pulled up and tried to stop from hitting him at all and tried to prevent him from falling down. I thought the hit occurred bc Geno tried to bat the pass down and his momentum carried him forward to the QB. But as I said, I need to watch it again.

Nothing to be pissed about. When a helmet hits a qb. It's gonna get a flag thrown these days.

Eiffert was still juggling the ball after his foot was out.
I didn't really see it at the game and don't think that they showed a replay.
I agree, I thought the roughing penalty was a reach and I think it had a whole lot to do with the status of the game. In other words, I think it was a gimmie to ND, but it didn't hurt us in the long run. I do think that is why they scored the touchdown.
