Yeah he played awesome in stroke play, but at this point they're to the match play portion. So there is no real leader anymore. He did win his match in the round of 64. As long as he keeps winning, it will be 36 holes a day through Sunday. I'm definitely rooting for him.
Good Stuff. Will definitely be rooting for he and Justin Thomas. Looks like Cory and Trey competed but did not qualify. Regardless, it looks like we will make another serious run at the golf national title this year. We are stacked!
Bobby and Justin are both currently down in their matches. Bobby just birdied 7 to get back to 2 down. Justin is 2 down through 5. Still plenty of golf left in both those matches.
Isn't Wyatt the guy who shot like 57 in the AHSAA state tourney his senior year?
Yeah it was the state junior championship. Unreal.
Justin is back to all square thru 9, and Bobby is back to all square thru 11!
Glad Patrick Cantlay finally turned pro. Not saying Wyatt couldn't beat him, but it definitely makes his path less stressful. I'm surprised Whitsett didn't go further.
Man, it's so awesome to have a great golf team now. I got so tired of hearing how the Gators and Texas had such a great program (Even tho Ok St is probably the Alabama football of golf)
Trey will come around...he has a great supportive family and group of friends. He can stroke the ball but these big tourneys are more about the head than the swing. Definitely we will be in the NC hunt next year.
Are you a friend of Trey's?
His mom is my HS classmate and his uncles are all very close friends. Know em all. Don't know Trey...never had time around him since I moved away from home town.
Edit: His dad and granddad are exceptional players also.

That's cool. I was just wondering because I know him through a few friends of mine. He's a really good guy.
If I recall right, you are at UA now and your friends and Trey hang out together. If you see him, tell him I'm close friends with many of his family and will be cheering him on. BTW, Christian Jones went to our HS. Proud of our school.
