is a moron. The title of his article is "Notre Dame will give either Alabama or Georgia trouble". In it, he basically states that both Bama and Georgia have vulnerabilities, but never goes on to say how he thinks Notre Dame can exploit them. Admittedly, the only time I watched ND was against USC.
Going on what I've read elsewhere and watched in the USC game, I see absolutely no area where they match up well against us(not sure and don't care about GA). Their S&C program appears to be like ours under Shula. I can't imagine the winner of the SEC Championship not absolutely running them out of Miami. Man, I hope we get the shot.
Although he sees Notre Dame's resurgence as good for college football, Danielson says that until someone snaps the SEC's six-year BCS title streak

Not sure why that makes him a moron? He has been the biggest SEC Flag carrier all year. He is giving an opinion.
I don't mind different opinions, but I wish he would have given some specifics on the matchup areas he believes favors ND in regards to Bama or GA. With his football IQ, I don't think that's asking too much and could give us a few things as fans to focus on assuming we face them.
So which is it? Moron or high football IQ? Those two descriptors seem incompatible to me.
"That's the way it goes. But don't forget, it goes the other way too."
You didn't see the goal line stand where USC couldn't run the ball for one yard against them?
How dare Danielson not openly root for Bama. What kind of sports commentator does he think he is???????????
Personally, I love all the Bama Hate being spewed by the pundits. We should ALL be way more concerned if espn, cbs, fox, etc had already crowned us. How'd that work out for USC and Oregon this year??? RTR

Its actually a compliment to the SEC that the #1 ranked team, with a storied, championship history like Notre Dame could give Bama or GA "trouble".
Yes I did. I believe that ND is a good enough team that they won't roll over for anyone and do have some fight to them. But against OUR OL, they will be systematically worn down as the game gets deep into the 3rd quarter. USC never punched them in the mouth. We will.
Just to throw another log on the ND fire. Saw this yesterday.
@RussMitchellCFB: As expected, #Irish would be a underdog to 5 #SEC schools, as per CBS/Bovada http://t.co/9OZMQ1bV
By reading the title of the article "Gary Danielson: Notre Dame will give either Alabama or Georgia trouble", I was lead to believe that I would find in said article reasons that Notre Dame, in particular, would give these teams trouble. I found no comparisons and matchup areas of concern for Alabama or Georgia in regards to ND.
By the title, I pointed it at Gary Danielson. According to my Bama brethren, by a land-slide, much in error. I will say that the article should be retitled to reflect the actual content and would LOVE a breakdown by Danielson of the actual team-to-team comparisons. Hopefully this will happen after the SEC Championship when there will be only two teams in the equation.
As far as having a high football IQ and being a moron: There have been many pro players that obviously have a high football IQ that would be considered rather slow in regards to their wonderlic scores:
Dan Marino, Jim Kelly and Terry Bradshaw all scored 15. So, no, I don't believe the two are mutually exclusive.
I think it will be a good close game.
