"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. What we do TODAY makes a difference. The precious present moment.." - Nick Saban
I would think that Bama liked him but not really enough spots available if he wanted to come to Bama, just a guess
Think Ole Miss is a better fit for Jason. It seems like Auburn is still recruiting for Malzahn's offense with the two QBs commits.
Um, no. They are just telling Smith what he wants to hear. Less than 0% chance they think he's ever taking a snap at QB. WR or DB from day one of fall camp.
Second string DB imo
Right. If he wants to play QB, Ole Miss is a better fit. Not sure the other QB (Johnson?) is a good fit for Auburn either (unless it's at power forward)
*u told Smith he would get shot at qb and told Johnson they would not recruit another qb. I'm confused
Never Gets Old
From what I hear he is one heck of an athlete. However he is more of an athlete than quarterback and many high schools will use the best pure athlete as quarterback rather than another position that they better suited for. For example look how many high school quarterbacks wind up playing DB, WR, LB or RB in college. Since he plays qb in high school he also wants to play it in college. My guess is that it doesn't have as much to do with the room we have left as the fact Saban didn't want to waste his time chasing a kid who didn't want to buy what he was selling and Chizik and company decided to mask what they were selling to appear it is what he wanted.
Sorry, never heard of him...
Bingo. Anyone with half a brain should know this. In SLs system there is virtually no chance this kid takes snaps, period.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
Russell Shephard type player. An electric player that figures to be a tough plug in on the field.
Morgan is rIght, as usual.
He is a wr.
Good but not elite. UA was right, IMO, not to make him a priority ,. Maybe he chooses AU outright regardless.
Not a big loss, IMO. Best comparison IMO is USM's Quinton Pierce. basically the same kid, IMO.

Correcting myself: He could possibly take snaps at QB on the Plains.....as the scout team QB in practice when preparing for scrambling QB's.
Jason is an elite athlete. If he had camped and competed as an athlete his stock would have soared. A better comparison would b Pat White Jason is a much better athlete than Q, I know both kids personally. Jason is dynamic with the ball in his hands but he is not afraid of contact. I believe he will be a terrific cb. I watched him come up and lay into Yeldon last year against Daphne after running wild on offense. Your right however in that this is not a big loss for us as the recruiting under cns and staff is lights out. Jason had a commitable offer but again he really wants a shot at qb and believes what *u is selling. At any rate they got a good kid and great athlete.
