Please support UA Women's Sports Champs by signing the White House petition.
Celebrate the 40th Anniv. of Title IX by Inviting the U of Alabama Women's Softball, Gymnastics, & Golf Teams to the WH.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Title IX we call on the President & First Lady to extend the same invitation that was extended to the University of Alabama National Championship football team to the 2012 University of Alabama Women's Gymnastics, Golf, and Softball National Championship teams to visit the White House. These young women have worked hard and dedicated their lives to this pursuit and have earned (and deserve) the same respect and treatment as their male counterparts.
I'm a little confused by the downvotes for this. This is not about politics. A visit to the Whitehouse at the invitation of the President is always a huge honor and unique experience; one that most of us will never have. Please sign this petition on behalf of these University of Alabama athletes.

No sense in the political nonsense.
Signed. A few of the UA feeds on Twitter are pushing this as well, it would be a great experience for our athletes and they certainly deserve the honor!
Great job by our ladies on winning championships! I am 100% behind them! I hope our bball team can get better!
I just hate that at the great University of Alabama, we don't have men's soccer, wrestling, lacrosse and hockey(as an NCAA sport!)
We have more womens sports and thats insane! I know here in the south Wrestling isn't as big as up north and in the midwest but there are some good young kids down here that can grapple! and Lacrosse and Hockey and mens Soccer, we may not be in the region for it but those sports good be competitive if we fielded NCAA teams!
How can money be an issue with so much coming in, student enrollment higher than ever and rebuilding and remodeling going on everywhere?
This is a problem, I hope to see fixed in my lifetime! I am 30 by the way! I think we have 8 mens sports and 11 womens sports.
Thats just not right!
