I thought he was getting looked at as a Linebacker, but the roster has him listed as a Tightend.
Saw this the other day as well...I think he may get a look at TE, but i think he will be an amazing ILB in the end
Ragland may still see work at both positions in fall camp. As soon as we see where he will be lining up this fall. The change will be reflected in the roster.

Trevor, do you think this is a case of too much ability to let him sit at LB? I have always viewed him as the next ILB.
I don't think he'd have to sit for very long. Special teams this year, takes over Nico's role next year. If he plays TE we don't have anything after DePriest.
Can the staff comment on this?
He can get on the field faster as an H-back or TE. Honestly, there is a crowd at ILB and a bunch of unproven bodies at TE and H outside of Williams.
Smelley, Dial, Peek.......who's next?
That being said, it's about to get really crowded there with what we have coming in the next two years.
With all of the uncertainty at the hback position and Ragland's experience at the position, it is natural to give him a chance to play. I would still think that the staff would prefer he say at ILB
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
