The AJC got their info from the Ole Miss site.
Seems like an Ole Miss beat writer being a little butt hurt.
A rarely-used SEC document may have helped Alabama land the nation’s No. 1-ranked offensive tackle out of prep school. On Tuesday, Brandon Hill of
Carvell is a bitch. That's the best way I can put it.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
I am in sales and it's obvious to me what happened. During his visit earlier this month, Brandon realized Bama is where he wanted to be. Saban prob told him that we have very few spots available and need you to make a commitment to come here today. He presented the document to him and said something along the lines of..."this document can lock you into one of the last spots available and guarantee it. If u wait it may not be there. Is this where u want to be Brandon and do you want to lock in your opportunity to make history? Please sign here!" My opinion on what happened and BH was fully aware of what he was doing. Recruiting is sales and we have the best closer in the business folks!
The AJC writer LOVES to try to stir up some sort of recruiting controversy anyway he can. He especially loves it with Saban from what I have read. And he doesn't mind doing it with other schools when he has little in the way of facts and is just speculating. (see his work with Robert Nkemdiche's mom or the Reuben Foster stories about investigations where what he reported was not the truth because he speculated on what RF's mom ment"). Basically I liken this guy to the recruiting version of Sports by Brooks i.e. I want some internet fame so I will try to stir up an issue where none exists.
But looking at both AJC's article and the Ole Miss blog, it implies BH might not have known what he was signing. Which also means he might have known what he was signing. (due to our BOL membership and Twatts posts, we know the answer to this). But the whole implication is that big bad UA and Saban took advantage of a kid and got him to sign off on something.
Yet these guys ignore what both report as fact which is the following:
"An SEC financial aid agreement differs from a university-specific agreement in that it requires other conference schools to stop recruiting the prospect. It reads: “recruiting activity by all SEC universities not included in this agreement shall cease upon the agreement being signed by the student and the student’s parent or legal guardian."
The quoted material states the agreement must be signed by the student AND a parent/guardian. It does not say "or". Which means the only way that document has any legal effect is that both Brandon and his Mom signing it. So is the AJC and Ole Miss blog trying to say an adult didn't know what she was signing? Because the article and wording of the document make it clear it isn't just Brandon that signs this, but also his mom.

Yes he is. Very butt hurt against Bama.
Any journalist worth his salt would provide quotes from Brandon Hill or someone close to him and ask them if he knew what he was signing. To throw out such conjecture without providing any tangible proof is lazy journalism and screams of "Look at me! I need attention!"
