This is a good analysis. The competition in this region is terrible albeit Ronnie Brown came from te same region but I assure you, Chubb hasn't looked near as good as Ronnie Brown did when he played.
Chubb doesnt play in the same region as Ronnie Brown but ok. Ronnie Brown was Cartersville and played AA ball. Chubb is in AAAA ball
So saying Kamara and Chubb aren't the same type of back (and honestly you see a Kamara type of back very rarely) rubs you the wrong way? Sensitive much?
You ran on here throwing out a comparison. Logic would dictate you back that comparison up with oh.....I don't know.....say facts? Data maybe? Measurables and times? Film? That is what a poster would do that is respected. Yet at the first sign of rebuttal you threw a temper tantrum and attempted to belittle a respected posted, in turn looking the part of a fool.
Take a little constructive criticism and try to see why were questioning you. I have no clue who this guy is and I'm legitimately trying to learn. If our staff is interested then so am I. If you're the one breaking his name out we would expect you to have some sort of usable information. That is all.
You'll never achieve great things until you believe that's what's supposed to happen
Coming through with a solid! Preciate it heatx3
From the film he is not anything comparable to Alvin Kamara? He has good shiftiness for a bigger back and top end speed but appears to take a second to reach top gear. Breaks tackles well.
Anyone care to comment on the talent level he plays against? Protected ranking?
I never said Chubb isn't a good RB.
My point is that he and Kamara aren't similar.
Return Skills- Kamara
Pass Catching Skills- Kamara
Between the Tackles Runner- Chubb
Chubb is a between the tackles Grinder. He has some wiggle but he's more of a get & go RB. Alvin Kamara is more of a flex RB that can also play the slot and is elite as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
I wasn't saying one is better than the other [although I think Kamara has more potential at the next level]........my "SMDH" was more related to why anyone would really compare the two. I'd compare Chubb to Jones or Tenpenny more so than Kamara as he's a between the tackles RB.
You get out of it what you put into it!
Thanks for the analysis BBD. The thought of getting Chubb next year gives me Chubb right now
Bama should keep all options open but I'd be surprised to see Chubb at Bama. Again, not a knock on the kid but I don't think he's at the level of Rock Thomas who is a Bama lean for the 2014 class.
I need to watch more film of Thomas but I really, really like this kid.
As of right now:
Ones to watch:
2014 RB: Rock Thomas.
2015 RB: Bryce Love (recent Virginia Tech offer) and Taj Griffin (recent UNC offer....not sure why they haven't also offered Love since he lives about 1 hour from the UNC campus). Heat3x has all the scoop on Griffin as he's his AAU Track Coach. So props to Heat3x for apprising me of Griffin. Both Love and Griffin are currently in the 5'10", 170-175 range but they are only 10th graders. Both are currently 4.3x guys. Future Alvin Kamara types but with a 1/2 step more speed than Kamara.

That's okay. I just wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to use a little sophomoric humor while I had the chance.
any relation to this chubb from auburn? (G)
Wasn't Burgdorf from Cedartown?
The real question is, how does Chubb compare to Cedartown legend Jerry Cash; incredible athlete who came to Bama in the late '60s as a wr/db. Roomed with George Ranager; several times a winner of best pure athlete in the Bryant Hall Olympics; could touch the ceiling with his foot in the "dorm room high jump" (probably a legitimate 5'9"). Never quite found a home on the field, but scored a lot of points for the track team in several events.
Looks like Chubb is causing a lot of butt hurt.
Was thinking the same thing...lol What happened to the "everybody's entitled to their own opinion"....haha
i'll take Ty Jones
Agreed. I'd be shocked if another pure RB prospect other than Fournette ends up at Bama with Rock pretty much as close to a "lock" as you can get, apparently.
Ronnie Brown and Cartersville were in the same region with Cedartown his first 2-3 years on the team. Also, that AA region during that time was much stronger region than the AAAA region Cedartown is in now. They were AA in a time when GA only had 4 divisions.... Cedartown didn't get to AAAA until GA had 6 divisions. While they were both AA, Cartersville didn't have all that much trouble with Cedartown either.
