Dookie, You can forgive your wife. You don't have to reconcile with her but you can forgive her. Let go. So what if she slept with that truck driver? She was drunk. And the bartender? She was drunk then too. I know it was tough when you found out about her and your child's teacher but she (the teacher) was hot and you should have gotten in on that action. And she couldn't help it that she was being tempted by the evil that is anal when she took it from Lance. Its not entirely your fault she was running around on you. You are after all the one who was not blessed between the legs and I'm sure missionary once a month isn't quite enough to satisfy her needs. Forgive her and then you will be able to forgive Lance, MLK, Coach Bryant, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Newt Gingrich, your child's teacher, the bartender, and even that truck driver. Forgiveness is a key component of your religion I'm sure. Practice what you preach.

    Classic +1

  • For the record: LT never tried to screw over Alabama. Much of the crap floating around is just that..."crap." The media and rumor mills took this story and ran with it. Things kept blossoming out of rumors and it took on a life of its on...

Coach Saban and Lance have been on speaking terms the entire time. Did LT set fire to a few bridges when he left? You bet. Did they burn down? Obviously not. His personal life WAS a huge factor in his choice to leave, especially his three daugthers. There is much to the story that people don't know and should just let go of...

I'm not sure how the "screwing over Alabama" thing got started. His timing sucked, because it was right before signing day. His big comments were made as he apparently tried to please his new bosses and fit in with the UT crowd. But know this, Lance specifically called two VERY high profile recruits and told them that UA was the BEST place for them and they should honor their committments, which they did...

Everything LT does is not perfect. Neither is everything any of us do. But I will tell you that he is/was/is the best recruiter on staff. He knows how to handle parents, players, coaches and negative recruiting better than ANYONE I have ever been around...

He also doesn't mind taking an earful from Coach Saban and getting chewed up one side and down the other. He doesn't get butt hurt and cry. He takes it, applies it, and moves on. I also believe his coaching has improved since his last stint at UA and he will have plenty of talent and coaching help on the field...

Are you making a statement that the man did not, in fact, cheat on his wife while here as a coach in Tuscaloosa?

    That jack Shiite.

Are you making a statement that the man did, in fact, cheat on his wife while here as a coach in Tuscaloosa?

What was the name of the woman he cheated with?
Where did this alleged infidelity take place?
What witnesses do you have that this even occured?
What evidence do you have that Thompson's wife didn't cheat on him first, if he cheated at all?

Or is all of this just rumor and speculation?

Maybe I have heard rumors about you. Maybe I've heard rumors about you that make Lance Thompson look like a choir boy in comparison. Maybe I think you should lose your job because of the rumors I've heard about you. In fact, maybe I'll track down your boss and tell him about those rumors...sort of like what you're doing here on this message board.

    How does that feel?

Thanks shedding a little light on the situation. As for the LT calling recruits telling them to stay at UA, I don't know which two you are specifically talking about, but I heard from some Andalusia guys back when LT first left for UT that he told Nico Johnson to stick with Bama, that it would be the best place for him, and that he wished he could have stayed to coach him.

  • Know body knows Jerry better than me and I agree....honestly I didn't want Lance back but Nick did and that is all that matters. Nick knows football....even better than Bo.
