Catholics vs Cousins...
Really insulting and below the belt. Typical ignorant idiocy from a 30 year has been program.
How would they like a rebuttal t shirt that said something like: "Bama vs Choir boy molestors"? Guess they don't think much tho.
Not bad, but I prefer "Win It For Lizzy".

Being a Catholic, it drives me crazy when ND fans act like they are "God's team" because they are a Catholic school. There are several Catholic universities around the country but ND gets all the attention for some reason. There are plenty of college football fans, players, and coaches (including Nick Saban) who are Catholic and don't feel any loyalty to ND.
For the record, I have never and will never be a Notre Dame fan regardless of my religious beliefs. I have 2 degrees from Alabama so I say Roll Tide forever.
With regards to them saying we all marry our cousins or whatever, I wish they would come up with a new insult. No southerner is married to his/her cousin so Yankees need to quit using an overplayed, untrue stereotype. I think people up north are just jealous that we have better football, better weather, and much better looking women in the south.

A real lowlife must have come up with that shirt. Sorry for the cliche, but fortunately we can do our talking on the field.
Notre Shame gets a whiff of success and all of the sudden their fans start talking all sort of trash. I've lived around those fans for many years and I can tell you that notre dame is very much worth hating as much or more than any other team (au/ut included); you can throw Michigan in there as well.
Agreed MTA. And well said. I think the loyalty there comes out of some old sense of loyalty. ND football gave some pride to Catholic people when there was prejudice against Catholics (many years ago) the same way Alabama did for southern people throughout the south. The "you can look down on us but we can still whip your ass on the field." However, things change. ND wants and thinks they are the standard bearer for all Catholics and they simply are not (at least not anymore). Same way Alabama is not exactly the standard bearer for all Southern people. I think both sides will probably invoke that sentiment in this game, though.

Im Catholic too and I show no allegiance to ND either. We all know that no more than 15% of the current 85 scholarship players there are not even catholic so I dont care either way. They dont get recognition for being a catholic school as much as they do for being a traditional powerhouse with tons of money (no matter how long its been since being NC relevant). They have pull, and I understand why. Not sure where the "God's team" reference comes from, I assume fans and media make that up. This is a game between 2 of THE MOST decorated college football traditional powerhouses, period. I am looking forward to it, but I am sure this crap will go on for more and more and 4 weeks and it will be as nauseous as ever. But, thats the nature of fans and social media. Im gonna deal with it, and ask that we dont counter with additional stupid ideas.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
Both are myths, so....
"BINGO! That was a goody!" - Coach Bryant on Sunday afternoons with Coca Cola & Golden Flakes
let them be classless pedophiles.
I have a 1970s era Tshirt that is red, not crimson unfortunately, that has a white octagonal "stop sign" shape with "STOP NOTRE DAME"
I have to shed a couple of pounds to make it look good, but I'll do it for my tide. See yall in Miami
Didn't they do "Catholics vs Convicts" when they played Miami? Seems unclassy to consistently belittle opponents who you face once every other decade.
"Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience"
"unclassy" ??? i believe the word you were looking for is "classless". as far as class schools. Penn St fans showed all the class in the world while their DC was banging every young boy he could lay his hands on. while their administration covered it up for the good of a coaching record. so maybe pediphiles arent limited to one faith.
I have one duct taped to my trailer wall! My wife/cousin loves it!
I just want to kick the fish eaters ass really really bad. That will shut them up.
I think it's lame and juvenile.
And nothing would make me happier than for their fanbase to be acting like their better than us, yet we in action do not stoop to their level. Let them be the ones to reveal the hypocrisy between their actions and their words
you.....damn.....straight..... beat me to it.....
We could really hit below the belt and have one that said something like, "We may have some backwards racist, but we don't harbor rapist"......
One reason the 92 championship was so incredibly satisfying was because Miami did so much talking before the game.
As one of the players tweeted recently "we gone let our pads to the talking on the field."
