I was at the Western Souther Open last night, talking with a guy I know from NYC who's father does the radio broadcast for the New England Patriots. He, knowing I was a Bama fan told me that he Hightower was doing really well in New England, and they were excited about what he could do there. I think most of us knew this was the case, but I thought I would share this little nugget from someone familiar with the program.
Also, this guy is good friends with Jason Garrett and he told me a little about how much respect that Garrett had for Saban. He added that Garrett mentioned some different approaches that Saban had, like focusing on the top 60 players and figuring out how to get those best players rotating in, not necessarily focusing on position.
We had a short conversation on Barron v. Claiborne. He didn't get into specifics, but he said that Claiborne can't get healthy (apparently has some nagging injuries) and they are concerned about that in Dallas.
I would have like to have gotten more, but we were having this discussion during the Federer match yesterday between the action. Nothing earth shattering, just thought I would share.
I watched the replay of NO vs NE on the NFL network last night, and DH seemed to pick up right where he left off. It was weird seeing him wear #45, but I was happy to hear the commentators agree that he was an impact player on defense.

Yea did you see that missed tackle on that RB? The running back made him look stupid. But besides that he had a great game and he will be in the NFL for a long time.
Thanks for the info.
I know the coaches keep a big board with every player on the team ranked overall, so the part about the Top 60 doesn't surprise me.
Eat clean. Train Hard.
small? hightower? pshhh
Thanks for sharing. Very good info.
