Where do these idiots come up with this crap? Malzahn's offenses beat Alabama 1 out of 3 times and the win was by 1 point. It wasn't Auburn's offense that beat us. We held Cam in check all day (only 39 yards rushing on 22 carries). Their offense had exactly 324 total yards! We lost because we dropped an easy TD pass, Ingram fumbles 30 yards into the endzone, McElroy fumbles and our guys don't see the ball just sitting there on the ground, McElroy gets hurt, Barron gets hurt and can't lift his arm, etc. These idiots write articles implying Malzahn's offense ripped us and that's why they won. Same with A&M this year. After the first quarter (which I believe we were not ready to play after the emotional LSU game), we pretty much contained Manziel - just 9 points remaining 3 quarters. We lost that game because of turnovers and bad execution on offense.
But now suddenly Alabama is easy to beat with the hurry up spread offense... I don't understand.

People grasping at straws hoping to find meaning to their football fandom. They know who their daddy is.
A hamm sammwhich ?
I feel ya... there are still folks talking about how Bama couldn't do anything with Manziel. They talk about how he dominated the defense, and he certainly had an outstanding game, but they make it sound like he put 40-something points up on us in the 1st half and barely even played in the 2nd half...
In the Cam game, I remember a ball was thrown up in the air, and Barron read it perfectly, he just couldnt defend the pass by knocking it down due to the injury, and he followed it up by missing the tackle on the receiver.
It is what it is though... If they think Malzahn/Freeze is the answer, then its gonna be a fun couple of years reading the meltdown threads.
Sounds like a barner article in The Bleacher Report.
We better tell coach. I'm sure he'll want to know.
Notre Dame? Old man Football in national title game.
Alabama - Old man Football in title game.
LSU - Old man Football in title game 2011
Alabama- Old man Football in title game 2011.
Arky just hired Old Man football coach...
Yeah I think Auburn will settle in nicely with the Ole miss and Miss State's of the world.
Can we stop with this emotionally drained bull shvt? Just give credit where credit is due, not sure what is so difficult about doing that - some of you guys take football way to personally lol
....All good boys! they may have won the game, but we won 3 quarters!! You guys are the same people bashing other teams for moral victories too lol...
Gus will be gone after two years after a couple of IB beat downs.
They're the most pitiful site I've ever seen. This is just hoping for the future with very little reality behind it.
Ya we have problems with the spread and Heisman winning QBs. Good luck finding one of those every year.
"We're modern-day gladiators, and that mental toughness is really important to have in a good team." Nick Saban
It's called analyzing the game instead of just looking at the score and assuming Alabama lost to a team that runs hurry up offense therefore Alabama can't win against that offense. I give A&M all the credit for winning. I just don't think it was just because of the hurry up spread offense. Look at the stats. Auburns famous 2010 offense had just over 300 yards. I can understand the argument if auburn and A&M had 500+ yards against us. But they didn't.
I don't understand where it says that Saban can't win against the hurry up spread? I sure as hell didn't say it was easy to beat Saban.
It said he was uncomfortable against it.
That is not saying he can't win, or easy to beat.
So try reading the article for what it is instead of what you want it to read so you can bitch about it and come on here and call someone an idiot.
And the article is right, of all the offenses Alabama has the most trouble with the hurry up spread. Doesn't mean we don't win. Doesn't mean we are easy to beat. It just means that it has had the most success against us. I mean we don't lose often, but many of them have been to the hurry up spread. See Utah, UF, A&M, and AU. And we struggled one other time with AU in 2009.
So the point of the article is that an opponents best chance is to do something we have had more problems with then other offenses. We haven't had a problem with pro-style except when we are met talent for talent (i.e. LSU).
Just what I was thinking! Think about this:
Over the last 5 years we have lost 7 games.
3 of those games (assuming Manziel wins the Heisman) were to Heisman winning QB's (Tebow, Cam, Manziel).
So almost half the games we have lost have had the "best" player in college football. As said, good luck getting one of those.
First, I'm a paying member so I can bitch if I want. You don't have to read it.
Second, unless you wrote the article, I never said you said anything.
Third, AU in 2009 had 332 total yards. If that is struggling against an offense I'll take it every time. Fact is we didn't struggle because of their offense (or their trick plays), we struggled because we couldn't run the ball. AU in 2010 nearly identical total yards. Again, didn't struggle because of their offense. Utah? Seriously?!? Alabama was coming off emotional loss in SEC title game and had 3 turnovers. Again, Utah had 350 yards. Our offense sucked (208 yards). Florida? Both games they had roughly 350 total yards. We lost one in the 4th quarter and dominated the other game. The difference was our offensive execution, not the hurry up spread offense. And A&M has been discussed over and over. A&M came out firing and we still had a hangover from LSU the week before. We had 3 turnovers (1 in the first quarter that fed the quick start by A&M otherwise it would have been 14-0 instead of 20-0). I don't care what type of offense the other team runs, when you turn the ball over 3 times THAT will cause you to struggle. They got 9 points rest of the way.
And it's not just this article. I've been seeing it everywhere how we struggle against the hurry up spread and the stats just don't back it up. So next time, analyze the games before coming on here attacking a poster without any facts.
Yep I have heard it since the A&M game. But I remind them , we beat the heck out of A&M for 3 quarters. Bama was just beat up and tired from the LSU game the week before. I also informed them, NO ONE is going to play A&M lightly next year and when A&M gets the hard schedules like Bama does sometimes, one week LSU, the BAMA, then Florida, no way they survive that. They will learn.
Agree with every thing you sayn. I also heard someone say bama has problems with qbs that can run. Im trying to remember, other than Johnny football, how many running qbs have given us problems ?
