Met the family earlier this week of one our underclassmen DT. I won't mention names because they are on this board from time to time. We were talking after the game on Tuesday obviously about the amazing performance from the night before but the conversation soon turned to the future.
** in talking about next year's OL the Dad said his son was sure that AK would be the starter at the other guard spot. I asked about Taylor and his reply was that his son said he needed to greatly improve his footwork to play on the OL.
** Said that of all the underclassmen that his son always spoke about what a freak Deval was and that next yr could be a big yr for him.
Not earth shattering i know but thought I would share. Also, we exchanged texts and he was joking about the team already being back in the gym today working out. The work ethic of our team is on another level.
Thanks for posting. I would love to see two Kouandijo's on the oline at the same time. They will be mauling people.
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the info.
Good deal. That basically is what I have heard about Taylor regardless or reports that were here. Every time I said that some on the board would attack me.
And, I assume AK would be left guard right beside CK. The 2 brothers side-by-side would be interesting.
TRADITION IS THE FOUNDATION GREAT PROGRAMS ARE BUILT UPON.
Good job, Slick.
Nice. Keep it up
Great post. 2 things:
1. We have had a certain poster on this board that has said the samee thing about Taylor for awhile. Most seem to have not listened to him.
2. I'm wondering if the ability of Deval is something that is pushing Hubbard into looking at going pro. He may feel he may not play the whole game if he stays so this may be his best time to go.
Didn't see you had posted this when I posted :)
Oh gotcha, just saw. Thank you and yep, practice reports are not always what they seem. When playing Baseball at Bama and if people watched a small amount of practice/scrimmage could easily think one thing that is not how it really is come game time

I don't doubt what you are saying at all but after watching AT numerous times, I will be shocked if he doesn't start. If AK beats him out then I can say with 100% confidence our oline will be a strength next year.
Good to hear.
They recruited Brandon Greene and Issac Lautua for a reason, tackle and guard/ center respectively, if they are any good they should make a move this spring if not then i see attrition in there future.
Greene's a freshman that red-shirted, right? Has 4 years left on campus? Doubt he or Luatua are going anywhere due to not being in the starting lineup this year
