What a great story. Thanks for posting.
nice find, thank you for sharing.
Really special article
You'll never achieve great things until you believe that's what's supposed to happen
grown man tears while at work...thanks a lot
That was simply awesome. Plus 1 to you. Plus a 1000 to AJ and that little girl.
Touching story. Thanks for posting.
Wow... Great story. Life is very fragile.
Wow,,,,, Just wow.... Winning a football game is not that important anymore.... What a story!!!
What a heartwarming story, thanks for posting.
It is stories like this that make me cringe when someone says a football player is scum because of their play on the field. I have heard it said about AJ, or more accurately that he is a punk. All based on his play.
Yet there is this story that shows it is more about then football. And there are many players out there that do this stuff that we never hear about or hear about after the fact because they don't want it to be about them.
Schlabach did a great job with this piece.
Bump for folks getting home from work. It is that good a read.
Made me shed a tear for sure.
What? Y'all quit looking at me. I'm not crying, that's water in my eyes damn it.....I was yawning.....swear......
Wow!! What a touching story! Reminds u there is more to life than football.
I remember getting a call about my Dad and them saying tonight would be the night he would pass. I can't fathom what this family went through with a child.
The stories about A.J. and Starla's relationship and the fund raising and other great things he has done on her behalf have been in the news in Mobile a good bit, but I'm really glad the rest of the country can hear about their special bond through this moving article. Thanks so much for posting it.
A truly moving story! Yes, it brought tears to my eyes.
Thanks for sharing and to Starla and family,
AJ is an amazing young man.
Wow what a very touching story. A lot of class out of aj. Rtr
Proud of AJ! Glad he represents the Tide!
Just read the article and bumping so more can read this. What an amazing story. What is even more amazing is that this happened last year and we are just now hearing about this. That tells me AJ didn't do this for the attention and the accolades but rather because he is just a good person. I am proud to have him QB this team.
