This is more geared to our more seasoned fans. Back in the day, were there limits in spring practice and summer practice. I know we've gotten rid of the two a day practices. Just curious to see some feedback.
Two-a-days were EVERY day first couple of weeks of summer camp, unlike now. Freshmen reported Three days ahead of varsity. That's all my dementia will allow me to remember.
Alabama's Spring games in the 70's consisted of vanilla wishbone plays for 4 quarters and the game clock only stopped the last two minutes of each half. The final score was always 7-3 or 10-7. Everyone left feeling that year would be a down year. I learned to never put much stock in a spring game.

There were no limits at one time. In 1990 they placed a limit on spring practices at 30..25 could be in full pads.
Used to be no limits on the number of two a days either. First 3 practices of the summer had to be in shorts and the freshman got 3 practices before the varsity reported.
