A more likely scenario is that only 1 of the final 3 unbeaten lose a game. If Bama runs the table and handles UGA in Atlanta, is there a realistic chance based on the Harris and computer polls that Bama could jump a undefeated team? If so which one?
IMO we'd most likely be able to jump ND, who also is the most likely to lose...

Probably not. Not an expert, but it's not going to happen for 'Bama if there are two or more undefeated teams. For Alabama to get in the title game, two of the three will have to lose a game and Alabama will have to take care of business in the SEC championship game.

I am neither but I can tell you right now that we will not jump an undefeated team. Voters have been waiting for a reason not to put an SEC team in the championship.
Thanks, and what I was afraid of.....guess we will see how it plays out. Thanks to others for responses as well. RTR
I agree it will not happen. After the huge comeback win at LSU we had an easy path to the BCSCG. But our defense didn't show up in the 1st quarter and our offense was bad all night. First 3 posessions of the game were 2 three and outs and 1 turnover. First two posessions of second half our defense came up big and stopped them twice and what does our offense do with 2 possessions with great field position? 3 points. To me, that was the game right there.

All we need to do is win. The rest will take care of itself. I don't have a time traveling DeLorean that enabled me to get a sports almanac to know the outcomes, but I'm telling you Notre Dame loses at USC, and Mack Brown gets a much needed win and beats K. State sending us to Miami.
How many times has the National Championship been penciled in late in the season only to have to be re-written? Plenty.

I agree that it could happen, and will definitely be pulling for it, but not a given by any means. Got to be rooting for longhorns in a couple weeks. Hook em horns!!
All we can do at this point is hope that there are a few stumbles on the way. Either way I'm proud of what this team has accomplished and feel good about our chances of taking care of business the rest of the way.
Agreed. Going to be tough for Alabama to get in unless two of the undefeated teams left lose.
