How did Stanford only manage to sign 12 kids this year? For a team that has all of the momentum out west, they should have signed some good guys. I like Stanford. I love their coach. I love how they play. He signed a big time class last year then had a major drop off this year. It might be a numbers crunch but they haven't signed more than 22 guys the past 3-4 years. Either way, I hope they continue to beat Oregon and make Kiffen's life hell.
I saw an interview with the coach on signing day. He said they only had a few spots because most everyone was coming back. He liked the quality of players they picked up but knew they would "rate" low due to numbers.
thanks..just struck me as odd..If their QB keeps getting better, they will be very tough next year
I'm excited to watch Barry sanders Jr develop. Kid is a pretty explosive player and should really benefit from Stanford's run heavy offense.
You'll never achieve great things until you believe that's what's supposed to happen
Agree- they're returning a lot especially on offense (lose both OLB's and their best DE) and should be very tough in the Pac-12. With you on Sanders...read that the coaches were praising his spatial awareness in camp last year, but there was no need to play him with Stepfan Taylor and Anthony Wilkerson on the team. They should have a pretty good RB corps with Wilkerson, Sanders, and Tyler Gaffney returning to the team among others.
On the #'s crazylegs nailed it- Stanford has had very little turnover or attrition the last few years, so they didn't have many spots in the 2013 class.

Wow forgot about Sanders, guess thats what TJ KD and a healthy Lacy will do for you. With this years rb haul we will never miss sanders. Gooood football times at Bama enjoy it boys and girls.
With the severe financial crisis in Cali, the state schools, Cal and UCLA among others are cash-starved and this will greatly
affect their athletic programs for the forseeable future. Look for the private schools, Stanford and eventually, USC to again
dominate that state annually. Look for Mora to be watching for the earliest opportunity to leave UCLA, too. He's a good
coach and that program is sinking into the morass that is California now. Pie-in-the-sky living does not work and eventually
the vultures come home to roost and feast on the rotting carcass......
