Seriously guys we were in a worse position last year after the lsu loss and needed more to happen. Brad Edwards stated this week he expects us to fall to fourth if we were to lose. Worst case we fall to fifth behind ksu, Oregon, Notre dame and uga. It only requires two losses and the sec championship is a play in game to the national championship. Stranger things have happened. Did we play a bad game....yes. Did the coaches call a crappy game....yes. Is the season over.....no. We are still in the mix but juts lost control of our own destiny. Let's see if ksu, Notre dame and Oregon can handle the pressure. Now were the hunter!
Can Texas beat K-State?
Can USC beat Notre Dame?
I don't see Oregon losing.
I see what you're saying, but LSU was a better team last year by far than this T A&M.
Agree with the above. Problem is that neither KSU nor ND have to play a conference championship, which makes it considerably easier. Regardless, I just want to see us blast UGA and Aub, get healthy, and see how it all plays out.
We'll see, certainly stranger things have happened, and you're completely right that we were in a tougher spot this time last year.
The other question is--what happens if Ore loses but either KSU or ND go undefeated; do the voters put a one loss Bama team in over a one loss Ore team?

Doesn't matter. If K-State and ND go down, and we beat UGA, then this time next month we're prepping for Oregon.
Could Baylor be our Iowa state this year? Someone mentioned Notre dame and ksu not having championship games....well if my memory is correct neither did Boise state or Oklahoma state last year. Is it going to happen? only time will tell but all I am saying is let's take a deep breath before we jump off the ledge. There is still a ton of scenarios left to play out.
Ok, I'm listening and I will take a deep breath but I'm gonna stay out here on this ledge for awhile. Keep me posted.
It's ok to stay out on the ledge tiny...just know there are still options. I'll stay by your side and get you through this.
