"He's got a nice little gig going, a little bit like (John) Calipari. He tells guys, 'Hey, three years from now, you're going to be a first-round pick and go.' If he wants to be the greatest coach or one of the greatest coaches in college football, to me, he has to go somewhere besides Alabama and win, because they've always won there at Alabama."
Found this on ESPN and al.com
"Uuh, long long time. Yes, I've seen moles so big they have their own moles. Freckles that cover two men. "
Dr. Van Nostrand
"Hey, hey, hey. A life. A life, Jimmy, you know what that is? It's the shit that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come."
Well my response would be, "like you did?"
i aint mad. hes the ball coach. hes also a legend
Spurrier being a jackass. What about Saban's masterful job at LSU, does that not count?
Yeah, because we were steamrolling everyone's ass when Saban got here. SMH
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
...or Michigan St. for that matter.
How was any of that insulting? Sounds like a bunch of compliments to me. Heck, he even compliments Alabama.
I take that as a compliment.
On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."

"to me, he has to go somewhere besides Alabama and win" - as in Mich St & LSU? The Old Ball coach is always good for a few funny lines.
What would he say if Saban decided to go to Clemson? Haha, the Head Ball Coach would eat those words. Glad Saban is at Bama and hope he never coaches anywhere else.

Roughly translated, he is saying - "but I could win, too, if I coached at Alabama - try coming to South Carolina and winning". Also potentially: "Please, Nick, for the love of God would you leave the SEC? Don't you need to go somewhere else and prove something?"
And Alabama damn sure wasn't winning when he got here.
I think his point was Saban is not the only coach that could win a Title here. We needed him and he needed us. We needed a big hire. Thankfully we landed the best in the biz. Make no mistake though, He wasn't the first nor will he be the last coach we honor with a statue.
The man finally gets USCe to 10 wins and has the balls to open up his mouth like he's done something worth a damn at USCe. This to me is super funny and I laugh at CSS for trying to be something he's no longer. If he'd worry about his own school as much as he comments on others, he'd realize he's a damned fool for ever stepping foot in Columbia. Honestly, I think he's forever upset at being a year or 2 away from being a viable candidate at Bama before he put his arrogance into thinking USCe was gonna be something they are not...a contender.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
Spurrior is the most over-rated coach there is. He had all the recruits he could want at Fla & people caught up to his schemes eventually. The SEC was down a fair amount of his time at Fla. I used to like the guy, but his self-righteous, know it all attitude, has gotten old. He needs to keep his mouth closed & move on to the golf course. I hope he doesn't count himself as one of the elites of all time.
His comparing him to Cal was stupid. He attacked CNS' legacy too. How can anyone state where they believe another coach should go in order to be great just in THEIR eyes? Its ridiculous for him to say this. But, he normally does this every year so we shouldnt be too surprised by CSS antics
I have never understood why some critics go out of their way to discredit Saban by saying that anybody can win at Alabama. If anybody could do it why do we have a very long list of coaches who couldn't and why did we go 17 years between national titles? Anyone who thinks Nick Saban has anything to prove in college football is very, very stupid, to put it plainly. He had winning records at Toledo and Michigan State and turned a dumpster fire at LSU into a national powerhouse. Critics should let that sink in.
Well, he attacked his legacy. Huge insult iyam.
He is such a jackass.
Thanks, Steve. You have further enhanced CNS.
