Per the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, RB Alex Collins' mom hired an attorney to "represent the family's interests" after what went down yesterday, per release from law firm.
Collins is expected to sign with Arkansas later today.

Was it Nevin Shapiro's lawyer's firm?
I'm confused...what went down?
His mom stole his NLI and could not be found.
This whole situation continues to get stranger and stranger. I do not pretend to know all of the details, but I hope that somehow this all gets worked out fast. Really feel for the kid. Mom has completely sabotaged his moment.

Some times the kid's got more sense than the parent, this seems to be one of these cases.
This is sad...Collins seemed like a very nice, well spoken kid when he committed on show with Foster. I can see why he wants go get out of state.
I can see tomorrow's commercials.
If you've ever had a child try to sign a scholarship offer from a college that is not your favorite choice, you may be entitled to a cash settlement. Call the Goldwater Law firm. We don't get paid if you don't get paid.
Andrea McDonald, has retained attorney Jack Paris of The Cochran Firm, founded by the late Johnny Cochran.
"Alex's family has been overwhelmed with media inquiries regarding their impending decision," Paris says. "They want to make a clean choice that is free of any outside influences. This is a very tough decision and they are weighing their options very carefully. In the meantime, they have requested The Cochran Firm's assistance in clearing up any false or inaccurate statements in the press."
For those who don't know, Collins announced he was going to Arkansas yesterday and his mom took his LOI and left. She doesn't want him to leave the state of Florida.
Prospects under the age of 21 must have their parent or legal guardian sign the letter in order for it to be considered valid.

Here's a scenario.
-Mom took a large some of money in exchange for sons signature.
- Son picks ARK, mom uses the "we want him close to home" excuse as coverup for her hidden agenda.
- Mom hires a lawyer to "represent the family's interests".

So is the moral of the story, if your last name is Collins and you play football, you're mom might be a little ________ ?
If the glove doesn't fit you can't commit?
Just heard it on the radio down here in Fort Lauderdale. They hired the Johnny Cochran firm ("if the glove dont fit then you must acquit") Now saying "if no name on the line you must give us mo time"
They hired the Cochran Firm? Lmao
