I know this Notre Dame fans (we aren't really friends but i had to work with him on some class projects and was kicked out of college for cheating) who has been talking all sorts of crap about Bama and the SEC. Stated we can't run on them because of Ta'o (apparently he's never heard of Warmack) said that a team that barely beat Georgia couldn't beat ND and that Brian Kelly would have his team more prepared than Saban would. I decided not to even reply.
Good choice. Why bother?
You could say that a team that barely beat Pitt in overtime cause their kicker missed a chip shot couldn't beat bama.
They are way past due for thier moment in the sun (so they think). Just let 'em talk. I work with a bunch of them, and they believe they will win. I just let it go. There is nothing really to talk about or argue with them.
So you were kicked out or he was?
Evidently, he doesn't know ND football either. ND has been run on all year. Where they are strong is inside the redzone. Notre Dame is good and can beat us if we don't play a great game. Our best beats their best though.
Actually, they rank 4th in the country in yards per game given up rushing. They rank 1st in TD's given up rushing only giving up 2 all year. BAMA is 1st of course in ypg. But they are right there in most categories on defense. I can understand a fan of theirs having confidence in their D. But, like many have said - they haven't faced a rushing attack yet quite like ours. Stanford is probably the closest thing they saw all year. Closest of course.

Respectfully disagree. Notre Dame is not that good. I think Bama has played three teams this season who are better than ND and I'm certain that at least five SEC teams could beat them. Bama would have to have a terrible game to lose this one.
With all due respect, there are at least three SEC teams that 'could' beat Bama. Those being A&M, LSU, and Georgia. One of them did it, and the other two had us on the ropes very late in the game.
1. What was the score of the Alabama/Michigan game?
2. What was the score of the Notre Dame/Michigan game?
Thanks Paul, I'll hang up and listen.
And they played with a terrible qb and lesser wr's. I wil be absolutely shocked if they shut down our offense. I mean shocked. That is as long as we don't try to throw it 40 times.
My post is in response to those who say Bama has to "Play their best game" to beat ND.
But I'm not sure I get this sentiment. Bama didn't play their "Best" against LSU (not ever close) and won . . . In Death Valley . . . At night. They were down by 11 to Georgia on the SEC's biggest stage (you know, the best conference in college football), before running the ball literally down their throat and winning that game. Georgia . . . The same team that beat Florida, holding them to only 9 points. Bama played terrible against the Aggies yet still should have won that game.
Point to one team on the Irish schedule that compares to Bama, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M, or LSU and then tell me if you think the Irish could go through those four teams unbeaten. I think they might be 1-4 against those teams.
Barely beat Georgia???
Remind him that Notre Dame barely beat Pitt, and that Georgia would be the betting favorite if they played ND. I also think LSU, Florida, and SC would be favored against ND.
After the game I expect to see these type of comments from Brian Kelly.
"I told my team I did not see it coming. And that's my fault. I wish I could have done something to help them."

Yeah, that's a great way of predicting future outcomes. You should probably move to Vegas.
2. No, I do not think they could go through those four teams unbeaten.
This would have been a good response...
I think, and this is just my opinion, that comparing common opponents is a great way to evaluate a game. Which is more to my point above. What other team on ND's schedule can you compare to Bama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, or even Texas A&M? As fans we are trying to be objective about our chances against ND. Sure, you cannot factor in the intangibles. ND certainly has those. But apples to apples, there is no way anyone can say with any confidence that "Bama has to play their best game" to beat ND. It just isn't there.
There is a good possibility that ND does not score against us/.
Yeah, that's a great example of trying to be funny/sarcastic. You should move to Vegas with me and become a comedian. Golden Nugget is hiring.
I believe he is an aubie in disguise.... They are all delusional.

I just respond with the following: So how much cash are you willing to put up?
