"McCarron said he is not a stat guy "at all."
He's not impressed that he ranks third in the nation in passing efficiency.
"That's great," he said. "Shows how great my teammates are. I think it's an example of how great my offensive line is, the wonderful job they've been doing giving me time. I think that really reflects my receivers, shows what kind of catches and how hard they've been working to get those kind of stats or whatever. I just want to win. I don't really care."
Roll Damn Tide AJ... He gets it, completely!
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
Great quote. But, please, PLEASE, leave the "____ damn ____" to the barn. It has no place in a Bama fan's vocabulary.
This is why you love him and this is why he comes back next year.
"You don't always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve"
Think back to the Championship game. When it was his turn to speak one of the first things he did was to acknowledge all of the players on the practice squad. The ones who never made the road trips but worked hard at making the starters and backups better by providing good effort during practice.
I love AJ as a QB, but all this shows is he has been Sabanized. Name one of our players that doesn't act and sound the same way. I am as proud of who these young men are as people and in the classroom as who they are on the field. This proves one thing, they have all bought into what CNS is selling. This makes them better on and off the field. That is why anyone who plays this bunch better bring their lunch and be in it for the long haul. RTR

Nobody is gonna beat these guys.....
AJ is going to be a great coach one day, if that is something he desires to do. Would love to see him have a Jim Harbaugh type career.
Exactly. I thought the same thing Saturday when I was listening to the radio braodcast just after the game. They were interviewing Cade Foster, who replied to question with a yes or no sir "Mr. Gold," and when they asked him about the difficulties of being in a three man kicking group, all he did was rave about Jeremy Shelly and Cody Mandell and talk how much of a positive influence and leader Carson Tinker is. This is a guy who kicks off and gets maybe one attempt (which is always of extreme difficulty), and rather than bitch and moan about his circumstances, he has become a selfless teammate.
That, my friends, is how Alabama players are now being defined. They are selfless team players who have the mental and physical fortitude to stand up to 4 quarters of man football. More importantly, they are making us as fans as proud of them for how they conduct themselves off the field as we are of them on the field. They have been completely assimilated into the Saban way.

"Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself." -Coach Bryant
And WHERE are the Yahoos that say we have no LEADERSHIP on this team? AJ is busting that myth to smithereens..RTR!
