What is a good Antenna to compliment my Satellite to pick up locals ie: CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC while tailgating in Tuscaloosa?
Vince Lombardi was asked how it felt to have the best football team in the world. He replied, I don't know. We haven't played Alabama yet.
If you have local channels on your satellite now and your not that far away you should be able to pick up your local chanels there. I live in Huntsville and get all my local channels there.
I am out of locals range. I am apparently to far away from Columbus, GA to pull in my locals.
From what I understand, something like this works well...
I've never used one, but I know people who use it for their home TV and it is a cheap complement to your satellite service.
If nothing else, you could buy it and return it if it doesn't work in your trial run.

Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but you'll only be able to pick up ABC 33/40. They have a tower in Tuscaloosa, while all the other 'local' channels have towers in the B'ham metro. You have to have something pretty strong to pick them up. ABC comes in really clear on 33 though.
I got a set of HD rabbit ears from Best Buy to use at home b/c I wanted to check out the HD and have it for when cable goes out. Above was my experience.
