Manti Te'o is set to sign a multi-million dollar contract in just a few short months. "If" there is/was a relationship of some sort with Ronaiah Tuiasosopo then I'm sure that Ronaiah could be persuaded to keep quiet about everything, or even to toe the line for Manti. I doubt that either of them reveal anything significant before the draft, but some really good investigative journalist may.
Manti found captain Winkey!
Irish fans laughed when I said RT would get a nice kickback from Te'os contract if he'd stay quiet for just a little longer. As a matter of fact think about this.....
IF Te'o plays his cards right he can use this who saga as a spin for coming out and simply pretend that he fell so deeply in love with Roniahs heart and soul that he doesn't care he's a guy. He'll have a million gays supporting him from day one and it will start a huge movement for other gays to come out in the NFL and MLB. Thats right, you're looking at the beginning of the end for sports as we've known it and its all deadspins fault. Heard it here first.

"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
The media runs with stories with no research and reports false stories 365 days of the year without fear of consequences.
It's absolutely hilarious. Not a waste of time at all in my opinion.

I wonder how many times "Lennay" slipped up and told Manti that he gave her a boner?
Never Gets Old
The fact that he couldn't feel comfortable being open at his school or in his position of fame/power is probably the whole reason behind this "hoax". If the kid just could have been a normal MLB at a traditional school, while being gay, he wouldn't have faked it and we wouldn't have had this whole debacle. The media has been a joke about it. Notre Dame has been a joke about it and of course, Te'o has been a joke about it.
"Hey, hey, hey. A life. A life, Jimmy, you know what that is? It's the shit that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come."
This story is just funny. Funny haha, not funny queer.
I think you just made up this RockStar story to mask your true feelings for 97.3
And Coach Fran
I just now listened to the voicemails....sounds like a chick to me. So much more to this story

Say that to his face.
I won't lie, I loved this cat growing up.
During the interview she never got him to admit he was lying. He just couldn't seem to spit out the "L" word. Why can't he just admit what is obvious to everyone?
Also ... that was one of the worst interviews I've ever heard. He set her up for numerous opportunities to corner him in his lies, and she failed.

Two things that stood out to me during the Couric interview.
- He was too anxious to point out the voice was female after she played the audio live. He immediately asked does that not sound like a female to you as if the voice being legitimately feminine was his get out of jail free card and he knew it.
- If a guy is asked a question straight up and he overemphasizes that he is or isn't something, then in many cases he's either insecure about his answer or uncomfortable with the question. The proper answer in this case when asked if he was gay is simply, "No, I'm not gay" and leave it at that.
