Hottest team the last 6 weeks of the season. I am sure glad we arent having to play them for the championship game. I would be fully confident that CNS would come up with a way to slow them down, but right now if we are the best team in nation, Texas AM is a close 2nd. Just have never seen a kid this fast and elusive that you basically have to spy every play (and it still doesn't stop him from running) and can also throw the ball as well as he can.
I think the losses on the OLine and WR will hurt Texas AM next year, but Johnny football is gonna be a nightmare for the next 2-3 years.
I'm just glad that we get a bye before and CJ will be here.
Amen to this.
Year 2 is always that magical year for some new coaches. Gonna be interesting for Sumlin/A&M next year.

If Texas A&M beats Alabama next year, Texas A&M will win the national championship
Next September may be our first game in about 5 years that we're probably not going to be favored to win.
Manziel will be a redshirt sophomore. He will be able to go pro next year, if he so chooses.
I don't know about that. A lot of early top 25 lists for 2013 have us at one or two and our D should be moderately improved. I doubt we spot them 20 in the first quarter next year either. I imagine we'll be a three to six point favorite. I could certainly be wrong though.

Some mock drafts have him going #2 behind Jadeveon Clowney.
If Chip Kelly goes to the NFL, I can't imagine anybody else he'd want to draft as his QB, considering he recruited him hard out of high school.
TRADITION IS THE FOUNDATION GREAT PROGRAMS ARE BUILT UPON.
That's what I'm thinking to. I just hope all their OL that can leave will.
The problem with Manziel is that he's just as elite with his arm as he is with his feet. And he can put both of those together and be an elite passer while scrambling at full speed. The good thing is that I think he's about maxed out potential wise. I mean what else can you do he hasn't this year? Behind the back spirals 40 yards downfield? Banking footballs off the goal posts for tds?

A&M's team next year will hinge on whether joekal and Matthews return ... The center is a SR. I doubt they have recruited well enough to plug new guys in and not skip a beat...manziel may have had his best year simply because of the lack of help that will return around him... Cam would not have had a heismAn yr with the oline that returned following their title
It will be interesting to see how they deal with being the hunted instead of the hunter all year. They almost lost to OleMiss...
Big underdogs to UF in 2009, and closed as very slight underdogs to Auburn in 2010. LSU NC in 2011 we opened as the underdog but ended up even money.
Don't expect A&M to be near as good next year... Huge losses at every position on offense and defense other than QB. They graduate 12 starter with 3 more locks to leave early. 15 starters...I love JM but will be schocked of they don't take a big step back
If their top 2 O-Linemen come back, they could have one of the best O-Line in college football history, plus Manziel, Malena, and the Evans kid, nearly their entire defense along with homefield advantage. Even if Joekel/Matthews leave for the NFL, they're still going to be a Top 3 team.
Luckily we get a bye week, and get them early in the season.
And if we had a playoff this year TAM still wouldn't have been in it. agree that they are a very tough out. This ain't the 2001 OU team though.
Nearly their entire defense? Are you crazy, 7 starting seniors on defense at one jr that is a lock to leave early. Their two tackles will obviously go pro as well.
We would be favored over aTm next week. We'll be favored over everybody next year as well.
Russell Wilson's success this season makes Manziel even more attractive to the NFL...
This - TAMU is the closest thing we have seen to auburn 2010, they lose probably 13 starters from this team. Kid is really good but Oklahoma hasn't played defense on the edges in years now, Klein killed them and he isn't half the player J Football is.
