"Suppose that I must offer this. Yes, missing out on Foster - maybe - is not a positive, but I fail to see why we are not considering Frost and Casanova in all the rumblings? My belief is that both are significantly better than they were allowed to be last year. Cas is bigger and just as fast as RF and did anyone ever watch his highlights? He does not just tackle, he mauls. In the one game he was given time last year he had 12 tackles. Frost is just a pure athlete and very cerebral. I think lack of coaching has been an issue and his confidence shaken also. I see that turning around quickly under good coaching. Now add to that Flowers and Tony and others from the current roster, I think the LB core will be just fine. In this new D, the emphasis is for the linemen to hold up the OL (big new recruits and returning DL and suspect Carl will occupy 1-2? at least and add our other DE's including Bower, maybe Daniels?) and have the LB use speed and reaction to plug holes. Dare say that we have beefed up our line and expect that the new recruits will bring out the best level of competition from the current group.......who have a lot of talent and size. DB's are key and if we can develop some of the outstanding freshmen from last year, who have the talent, add a couple studs this year and develop a lock down or 2, well.....that is what we need. Last but not least are the safeties.......we have good talent back but have you seen King hit? He will make any receiver think about crossing and backs will be smashed if they break through. All in all, my expectations are very high not only because of the recruits, but also because I don't think we have seen 50% of what the current roster can bring. The offense simply takes up where Gus left off previously. Humble opinion of course.......WDE" -Delusional Barner
May I add this is his "humble" opinion
My humble opinion is Kiehl Frazier was the next Cam, Loeffler was going to attract every QB ever known to man bc he "coached" Tom Brady, and their DC last year was supposed to be from the NFL to do the same thing (bring up the "talent" on campus) as they are claiming this year. Here's Barner logic! If we just outscore every opponent we play well be fine. We should win those games.......lol
You'll never achieve great things until you believe that's what's supposed to happen
I think they always have some delusional wish before every year that they have to make known. With that being said i have only seen it come true once.
They may have a chance against Podunk U. What's a shame for the delusional poster is, there's another major thread on their site saying that Florida just may have flipped Bower...so they may not even have him... Can it get any better? LOL
Idk why but it just brings me joy to see Auburn do bad I wish they would just pick up and leave the state.
Well its like this. Having an intellectual conversation with a barner would be like calling my college stats professor to teach upper level stats at a kindergarten. No matter how well the professor explained it, it would still go over their heads and they'd much rather sit there and play with play-doh and colour. Let them enjoy their moral victory while we kick their butts in recruiting and on the field,
It's logic like this that makes me want to see the barn lose every game and lose every recruit every year.
Hey, hold on a minute, they are in our state?
Casanova McKinsey couldn't beat out Jake Holland...no need to say anymore
It's disputed territory between us and Georgia....not disputed as in Alabama and Georgia both want the territory, disputed as in they both are trying to give it to the other.
In fairness to Auburn fans: All they have is hope. They have a wish list of what "they" think will be successful simply because logic and hard facts suggest they won't.
From what I can see for at least the next two-three years, the best time of the year for these guys will be Thursday after signing day, until they play their first game because they can hope without having to deal with reality.
We did the same think before Saban was hired, so it's pretty easy to spot.....
As a Bama fan, you are born with that in your DNA.
In a thread about always losing kids to Bama, one barner takes comfort in fact that we "really wanted" Jason Smith a 2013 WR out of Montgomery. If we offered its not like there was ever a serious push for him. Poor poor auburn
