I watched The Experts today on ESPN and the topic of AJ being am Elite QB came up. According to Todd Blackledge (which surprised me), Jesse Palmer, Desmond Howard and Lou Holtz all said that AJ was not an elite QB. I wonder after tonight's performance they have changed their minds? Also I'm not wearing my Crimson and White emotions on my sleeve but their criteria for and elite QB was so contradictory it was pathetic. It seems to me that Matt Barkley had a similar type season on the stats side of comparison and everyone had him in the elite category as well as making Barkley being the first pick in the NFL draft. It's puzzling to me is AJ not elite because he's the QB at Bama or what? Also Desmond Howard said that he never at anytime this season had or considered AJ a Heisman Trophy candidate, really that's one of the most ridiculous comments I've heard. I'm not going to even mention how that Dee Milliner was robbed of the Thorpe Award oh wait oops! RTR!
funny...most of those guys said that the notre dame linebacker would be the best player on the field....hi hi hi...what a bunch of dummies!
I know at one point during the game is QB rating was 230
There wrong. an AJ proved it.
I think the running game works against him and somewhat overshadows what he does. We're thought of as a running team, but AJ is an elite quarterback IMO. At the end of the day there's no one I'd rather have leading our team than him.

Agreed. Some of the experts may have doubted AJ before last night, but it is tough to deny that he is elite after the body of work he put together this season capped off by a near perfect performance last night.

Who cares what those clowns say--AJ does his talking on the field! Let the NFL decide if he's elite or not!
These are the same so called "experts" that said this game would be close and we would have issues with ND's red zone defense. Just because they are on ESPN doesn't make them experts.
