once again are quickly turning on Bama. I just don't understand how they refuse to accept that the "process" is what separate Alabama from the rest of college football. Since some of the "Media Darlings" have stumpled, Alabama is thought to be overrated. The first test was to be Michigan(processed), then Arkansas(processed). Now both were supposedly overrated rather than overmatched by Bama. Really, I think most are just disappointed that Bama haven't shown the youthfulness of the 2010 team. Everyone wanted to see what year 6 of the "process" look liked, so sit back and enjoy. Rolltide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In all fairness Arkansas was beyond overrated. We'll find out about Michigan this week. If they get routed by ND, I'll suddenly feel like we haven't been tested.
You guys remember Roy Jones JR.? Pound for pound the best ever..... or never tested? What if our boys were to 2nd quarter KO every team they play this year? Were there just no good teams? I think not.
I think we all take this stuff too personal. Those guys have a job to do, they have to have something to talk about. I bet CNS is loving the talk.
What do the dead trees in Auburn have to do with this?
Kirk Herbstreit said we are far and away the best team in college football yesterday.
If every person that comments on football did nothing but praise Bama 99% of the country would stop watching/listening.
Also, we have made our schedule look easy. I hope that when the season is over people say it was a very easy schedule due to our having destroyed every team on it.
Choose not a life of limitation
I think the truth lies somewhere between overhyped and being that good. I think Michigan is a solid team that will have a really good record because of a really bad big10. Arkansas is in complete disarray with the Petrino firing, JL SMith hiring & Wilson injury. Talented with no leadership. And I think Bama can disguise some of their shortcomings with their physicality. I think that our secondary is still young and untested. I have seen blown coverages & assignments that team couldn't capitalize on. My biggest concern is a team like LSU or FSU that have elite rush ends would abuse both of our tackles. Our tackles are by far the biggest concern for me. But as a whole, I think that we are the most complete team in the country. The bottom line is that I don't think this team is as unbeatable as some might say, but someone has got to do it before I'm a true believer.
Methinks, gentle sir, that you know your ball.
We are a fine, young team with talent and coaching more than compensating for lack of experience,so far.
Maybe will continue.I certainly hope so and think it is quite possible.

Personally I love the hate. In 2010 we had complete adoration by every media member after the Florida game. The next week we got destroyed by USCe.
Our team plays best with a chip on its shoulder.
Exactly. This is what Coach Saban wanted. Seems to be working.
MIchigan is a top 20 team but was overrated at #8 when we played them, compounded by depending on a running QB, which is not where you want to be playing a Saban defense. Arkansas is not in the top 50 teams in the country right now, and quit against us to boot. We tend to make other teams look overrated because by the 4th quarter they have typically laid down and are just trying to get out alive. I think in October we will have some more competitive games.

They are just throwing gas on the fire in a big way...this will do nothing but motivate this group. Nothing is going to distract them anyhow. Stave off complacency, that's all we have to do, and if the media is saying we are overrated and untested, they are just helping our cause...wonder what they'll say if we run straight through LSU? Then the championships? Was college football just down in general this year? Those making those statements will be in the minority, but fear will invade those that make their living on CFB because of what is going on in Tuscaloosa.
