I'm not sure why everyone is downing our pass rush so much. I mean I know we don't have a Clowney or a Jarvis Jones but we have actually sacked the quarterback more than Georgia has this year. We are also tied with LSU with 30 sacks on the year.
Very smart thoughts...
I agree as well. But it seems even in past years. It's always the slot. Or middle of the field that teams have success with. Take the loss to LSU in 2010. JJ throws a 10yd. slant over the middle. & it turns into a 70yd. td. On a drive that we had them almost starting from their own end zone.

Solid post OP, don't even know why Mosley comes off the field, but I'm not a great X's and O's guy either.
I may be wrong, but I don't think we had the same problem against TAMU... we were not in our Base D on first downs, and they were able to run on first down consistently for 2-4 yards.... at least that is what I remember without re-watching the game.
I don't feel that way either. Manziel just went off and was on. We made some great adjustements too little too late but really to some extent you have to outscore a QB on the zone like that.
Some of the throws to the check down back were blown assignments on our part in the LSU game. Add Sunseri to that list of liability covering the back out if the backfield. I will also say we have been caught in blitz packages where we don't get to the qb before he dumps it off.
What was that one pass play aTm kept hitting to convert 3rd down? It was that very tall WR who Fulton was guarding that would run a 8-9 yard comeback on the sideline? I think?
Do you know what I'm talking about>?
Gotta jump in here real quick and say that this is the best post I've seen on here in a while. I have to admit that I feel a little worn out on the "we will dominate everyone every game" posts, so it's nice to read an intelligent discussion on our positives AND our weaknesses... and how to adjust.
I've +1'd most of the posts in this thread.
I believe our D will be ready! The key to this game to me is for our offense to play well and get the running game going! We cannot keep blaming the Defense whe we only get one first down until itnis 21 to 0! That is what killed us against a&m, which was a average defense at best! Our offense is too good for that!!

UGA's running game is nothing to sneeze at. This will be a good game.
This is the correct answer
We do have a pass rush. We do not focus on sacking but on pressuring and controlling the pocket. We have good sack and pressure numbers. I personally don't believe that their offensive line can handle our front. I think this group goes off on Murray's head. IMO
