I am surprised I have not seen more discussion on Bozeman taking a grayshirt and how it relates to our final commits.
Here is what I am thinking: CNS convinces Bozeman to take a grayshirt two months ago becasue he feels we are going to be able to sign more recruits than we have room for but asks him to to not make it public in the event that it is not necessary. Last week Bozeman makes it public because CNS feels confident that he will be able to sign the additonal kid or two that he wants in this class and also so it doesn't look forced on Bozeman at the last minute.
It would appear to me that with Bozeman taking a grayshirt that puts our current commitment list at 20, thus leaving room for 5 maybe 6 spots. Wouldn't Bozeman taking the grayshirt pretty much guarantee that we get at least 5 out of the group of players most commonly discussed?
we dont get credit for dixon leaving, do we? as far as back counting one EE to last year and pushing 25 to 26
I don't mean to sound harsh......but I think that's what everyone assumes? Which is any we all haven't talked about it? And suddenly the staff said we had 4-5 slots then suddenly it 5-6. I mean I just kind of assumed that with so many big name players out there it was a given our staff had some surprises. Why else ask a kid to grey shirt (see Korren Kirven last year)
You'll never achieve great things until you believe that's what's supposed to happen
I assumed as much as well but I guess the BOL Forecast surprised me a bit. Liner, Bell, Kamara, Jackson, and Carr were their picks and with all of the other players going elsewhere. I was just surprised that their confidence level was not higher on Bell, Kamara, and Jackson. We also now know that Carr is sticking with UT. It just seems to me after reading the BOL Forecast and various message boards that their is not a lot of confidence in getting the other players which surprise me.
I think every year CNS has in mind who he might need to grayshirt but in light of all the BS last year he now goes out of his way to make it VERY clear at the beginning who might be asked to GS, so he tell em, "look, if that's a dealbreaker, dont committ now"--Bozeman must have said "that will be fine if necessary" but ego dictates it be kept quiet until it becomes necessary...
I'd give my left nut to grayshirt at Alabama.

you have some sort of attachment to your right nut or something?
Why not the right one?

My take as well, safe assumption imo.
