What does he see in him? What ever did he see?

LOL, I know I know.. I just edited the photo and its still upside down.
This is wrong imo. Rex doesn't see anything in him. This is why Rex Ryan fails.

On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
Almost have to think management must have been telling him to play him, especially with the recent extension
I'm not going to defend some of Ryan's questionable personnel decisions, but Sanchez would suck no matter who was coaching him. I've never seen an NFL QB regress like he has over the last two years.
Not sure why USC QBs are so hyped. They have good stats... against teams with no D. Barkley will turn out to be another flop [insert pro-SEC comment here]
Third time is a charm. Just messing with ya
Per the owner they played Mark.
Lol, yea I did a few wrestling around things. I guess we don't really know who makes the final decision on who plays QB there. Is it Ryan or Tannenbaum? Or maybe the owner Johnson? I'm just assuming that it's the head coach, but you never know.
Sanchez is just one of many mistakes that the Jets have made over the last couple of seasons. I still think Rex is a great coach and understand if he does get fired, but the GM has got to go regardless. Trading for Tebow was a publicity stunt that blew up in their face.

spot on. Rex will get all the blame, most of it undeserved, and he will probably get fired. It's not the college game. You have front office morons like Tannenbaum that bring in personnel they desire. But Rex is a heck of a coach and can be a head coach in the NFL for a long time. He says absolutely stupid stuff to the media, but I still think he's more than capable of being successful. I've heard Saban at speaking engagements talk about Rex. CNS respects him alot.
I get tired of the "put him on a team with 2 great running backs, 2 good receivers, and a great defense, and he would make the playoffs." Of course he would. So would any other qb.
Look at Ponder. He is garbage, but no one says anything bc they are winning games... Because of Peterson.
The Jets don't have much talent. But I guarantee you they would've been much better with someone like G-Mac who leads, and gets the most of out teammates.
Coach Saban and Rex have a pretty good relationship. A lot of respect going both ways. I had the fortune of meeting Coach Ryan and hearing him speak at the coaches clinic a couple of years ago and came away with nothing but good things to say about him.
I have forgotten which Analyst said this before last season, but I feel that it is pretty spot on. Sanchez is an average quarterback except for 2-3 throws a game. He has the ability to make great throws, but there is no consistency to his game. Does not seem like the players view him as a leader either, not a take control kind of guy.
Which is a good example why it is highly unlikely that Nick Saban will ever go back to the NFL. Have an owner dictate to Saban who he will play at QB? Not bloody likely.
The big question I want to know is if McElroy does well in the last the last 2 games will they give him a chance next year or do they go get another big time QB to be the starter?
Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they took Barkley
Rex Ryan will once again be a great DCorr. for someone in the NFL. He has special talents at some things in football. His first two years when he could ra ra the team together all playing with such passion they overachieved to the level of back to back AFC Championship games (with Sanchez at QB). The difference then was simple....
They had a nice running game. Nice enough for what they wanted to do on offense. Ground and Pound. Mix in a few passes each week to try and take advantage of the d's playing the run so much. AND...
A top 5 defense. Now, the defense is very average, no running game, no weapons on offense, relative to the weapons most playoff teams have, and Sanchez has simply remained what he is - an average QB who shows great moments every now and then but never can play like that consistently. They can not win without a great running game and that great Defense from a few years ago. They still get credit for having a great D from those years when the reality is for a couple of years now it hasn't been close to what it was.
Add in they make some of the silliest moves possible - bringing in Tebow for what they have actually done with him, giving Mark an extension simply because they wanted the perception to be see, he's our QB and we just backed it with money. Silly silly silly. It will cost them another couple of years no matter what they do. Especially next season unless they take the loss and move on. Even then, they are on the hook for a bunch with him towards the cap.

Barkley probably wont be there by the time the jets select. there are a few teams in front of them that need QB's example KC Chiefs.
Barkley may not even go in the first round after this past season. A lot of scouts do not give him a first round grade.
