Props to A&M for capitalizing on what LSU exposed last week. I thought it was a fluke/Death Valley type thing, but our D just isn't as good as people thought they were.
-Certain players simply can't play in that type of game.
-Nick Saban and his staff had their tails handed to them. I don't care about a hangover.....our guys were not ready to play and that's on the coach.
-Nussmeier needs to learn he's not in the PAC-12. We're supposed to have the best O-line in America and we refused to establish the run. AJ is hurt alot worse than people realize. Evidence is how inaccurate he's been on certain throws the last 2 weeks. It's not his fault, he can only do so much. His performance today was very gutsy. The offensive gameplan was horrific. Again, that's on Saban.
-It amazes me how we still cannot create a pass rush without blitzing. I truly don't understand.
-Our tackling has become a liability.....that's on the coach.
-Our receivers apparently can't get open unless they're running deep. How many times the last 2 weeks has AJ had all day to throw and ends up having to scramble or throw it away.
-End of the game, first and goal, and we try to throw. Put Jessie Williams in run the dadgum football 4 times in a row. 3 pass plays.....pathetic.
-Turnovers and penalties......worst it's been in forever.
-Saban is still the best coach in America, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone, but today, he and his entire staff got worked over.
Hopefully, everyone will lose and we'll be able to get back in the national title picture. Michigan winning helps. We need Miss. St. to win out, and we need to monkey stomp Georgia. It's a long shot, but last year we were in the same boat. Hope the result is the same.
edit: I've seen some people here blaming AJ's play.....I'm telling you people, he is hurt so much worse than what's been reported. Anyone that blames him is ignorant. He played his heart out today and did the best he physically could. There's tons of blame to go around, but it starts with the head man. Worst game I've ever seen from a Saban staff.

Agree on everything and I will answer your question as to why LSU & UF beat aTm.
They have better outside pass rushers, thats why. That's also the reason Bama has to blitz to get big pressure.
They dont have a Top flight edge rusher or even a 3technique like Dareus from 2009-10.
1) Our d lineman weigh 300 and our jack weighs 280. We aren't quick off the ball so we can't get pressure without blitzing.
2) AJ holds the ball longer than any QB I've ever seen. It's more on him than the receivers imo.
3) AJ is obviously hurt.
4) Good post.

Have any of you guys been watching this A&M team over the past few weeks?
They lost to Florida, but that was their 1st game (1st time starter, new conference, new coaching staff).
They lost to LSU but LSU was able to take advantage of mistakes by Manziel. He learned from those mistakes.
Their only losses are on the road. They are a hot team with a hot QB with a feisty feisty disposition. At the end of the day, if we execute, we win. I dont know if anyone missed the 4th quarter fumble on a running play, but I guess thats on the OC and HC also... come on guys.

To this THE BEAR would say BINGO !!
Great post. Probably the most reasonable I have seen tonight.
Agree. And it was fitting that we ran the worst play ever invented on 4th down and goal (roll out and eliminate half the field, in the shallowest part of the field).

Finally somebody w/the stones to quit whooping the redheaded stepchild (Nuss) and put the blame right where it ought to be: on CNS doorstep. Wouldn't want another coach, but he ain't God.
Wrong, they had'nt lost on the road all year.
1. I cringe at the thought that Johnny Manziel is only a freshman. We have to play him 3 more times. Best player I've seen this year.
2. Not going to lay this on Nussmeier. We can't give up 3 touchdowns in the first quarter and ever expect to win.
3. Turning point for me though was the fumble by Yeldon. Thought that deflated the entire crowd and changed the momentum.
4. If AJ put a little more on that deep post route to Kenny Bell, I think he walks into the end zone.
5. Lots of ball left to be played. Notre Dame is going down eventually. KState goes down to Texas and we're back in the race.
6. We have two bye weeks to prepare for UGA. We smoke them in Atlanta and I think we go in as #2 to South Beach.
7. Defense looked out-of-shape the whole night. But I'll take us over Oregon with 44 days to heal some nagging injuries, lots of cardio, and film study. If we could hold Oregon to only 29 points, we win the game by 2 touchdowns.
I have thought this all year and personally I don't think our O Line is as great as people say it is. Yes I have watched every game and I think the O line is good but not as good as some want to make it out to be. But if you make a statement like that on this board you seem to get blasted from all sides. I have been a Bama fan a long long time, been here through the 14-0 seasons and also the 3-8. I have always and will always root for my team no matter what our record is even if I'm not happy with the results on a Saturday afternoon...Roll Tide to you all.
Lots of good points. But I think many also took aTm very lightly. I've been talking up their OL for some time. It caught my attention when Joeckel and Matthews made the top 12 on some draft boards. Joeckel is the #1 projected pick on CBS's board right now. aTm's offensive line got almost no mention on this board all week.
We can pick apart different aspects of the game, but very simply, at this point right now, their OL is better than ours, Manziel is better than McCarron, their receivers are at least as good as ours, and their defense is very good.
Even if we end up in the Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame, I will get some enjoyment from that.
I agree. I think that shoulder is pretty banged up. I would put money on an ac seperation re-agrivated against miss state
After the 20 point first and two turn overs had 1st and goal from the 7 to win it. 'm not saying run it 4 straight but damn sure run it on 1 st down.
" If it feels good, you ain't doing it right!"
Don't agree with most of that. I thought the game plan was fine (aside from the offensive play calling). Certainly don't think our coaches got 'worked over'. We got A&M in third and 5 to third and long, and like last week, their QB just made throw after throw that you really can't defend. Add that in with a few lucky bounces (their first int, Johnny catching his own fumble, TJ's fumble bouncing right to them, third and long and the big receiver catches his own tipped ball and gets a great spot, etc.) and it's really tough to win the game.
Basically, they played a nearly a perfect fame and we made some uncharacteristic mistakes.
