I didn't get it either, until I looked at tendancies after this loss...
We ran 39.1 times a game last year
We ran 33.1 times a game in the first 8 games
We ran 28 times a game in the last two games
Team avg per rush last year and this year are almost identical at alittle over 5.5 yds per carry.
Avg'd 5.1 the last two games, including the sacks. Pretty good if you ask me...
Offensive playcalling is just different this year. And the last two weeks really different...
New OC, new identity...Defense on the field more
First 8 games - Defense on the field 57.75 snaps a game
Last 2 games - Defense on the field 81.00 snaps a game
HUGE difference...part of that is 3rd down defense and part not keeping the defense fresh

"You feeling satisfied now Teddy?"
They also gave up 57 pts to LaTech
They also would have lost to Ole Miss had Freeze not gone for it on 4t & 1 in their 30 yard line.
I agree they're playing their best football now but no way they should have bullied around Bama like they did.
On Yeldon and the fumble .... It reminded me of Trent .... And Ingram ... His reaction was pure disgust with himself ... He will learn from it and fumbles become a rarity.
I hope this loss stings a little bit, but we needed that loss for us to reestablish our identity on offense and defense. The team's emotions looked like it did in 2010. No passion to win. Are they gonna play like that the rest of the season if the national championship is off the table?
UGA is a very good team with arguably a better QB than we faced with Mettenberger.
Well said. Our offense should have scored 40+.
Good points, but A&Ms line is the second best in the country and couple of those guys will leave next year along with all but 1 receiver so Manziel will still be as explosive but I dont think as effective and I do put a lot of the game on Nuss's play calling, and not just this game, he doesn't run the ball enough to let the offense get into a rhythm and its shown the last two weeks. I still dont understand the play calling on the goal line.
How did they bully us around? We ran the ball at will on them. They didn't run on us other than Manziel making some unbelievable scrambles out of pressure that was around him. I don't see how they bullied us around at all. We were the physically more dominant team. We just didn't take full advantage of it by getting cute a few time we shouldn't have.
is your comments on AJ the back contusion or something else?
I read somewhere this morning the defense has been on the field the last 2 games for a little over 71 minutes....Saban himself said the best defense against Johnny was keeping him off the field...I guess thats why I couldn't understand why we passed more than we ran.....Roll Tide!!
By the way the stadium was as loud as I've heard it in a long time...the fans did their part. Roll Tide!!
