Last night our pressure from the front four was intended to contain rather than flush, for obvious reasons. When I hear Wilson and Bray being brought up as "test", I just don't agree. We will force Wilson and Bray to make quicker decisions with more accuracy because they pose no threat beating us with their legs. Call me crazy but I think our db's will have less pressure against Arky in two weeks. More blitz, more hits, more picks.....thoughts?
By the way, I thought considering the game plan and it being our first game, the secondary made some great plays in both the passing game and run support.

We agree on this subject. We just stood our ground on the DL and we blitz from the edge to keep Shoelace contained. I kept wondering why he wasn't running more but we basically forced them to do what we wanted them to do. Our game plan was executed pretty much flawlessly except for the fact that we didn't respect DRs arm enough and he burnt us a couple of times. It will be a different story versus Arky. We will force him out of the pocket. Hopefully and not let him stand there and pick us to death. Niles Davis may give us some problems if Williams is not cleared by then.
big consideration here is Lester being out
w Lester out.....our secondary lost some continuity
cannot afford injuries in our secondary this year
Fact is that we can't play as we did last night against in Fayetteville or in Knoxville. The receivers were open and an NFL-quality QB would've put a hurting on us.
Agreed, Milliner slipped and Belue bit on a double move and hopefully will learn from his mistake. In both instances safety help was nowhere to be found. Going forward pressure will be considerably greater forcing quicker QB decisions and throws into tigher windows. I'm confident we will not ask our dbacks to cover for that long again this season. Unique gameplan that absent two plays worked flawlessly.
