Punt, Bama, Punt...Legion Field was made up of half AUB fans & half AL fans...was that way every year at Legion Field.....they took turns every year being the "home" team..got to wear crimson every other year. I lived in B'ham and had to put up with all that "Punt Bama Punt" crap as soon as the game was over & had to live with it for years and years...they made up those aggravating Punt, Bama, Punt bumper stickers as soon as they could get them; then they spread them all over creation. Those idiots still have them...I still hear Punt, Bama, Punt till this day ..#$%$#%%$$#$#$$%%^^%% ARGHGHGHGH!!!

IF IT FEELS GOOD,YOU AIN'T DOING IT RIGHT!
1. 2010 iron bowl-the others aren't even close
2. 1978- USC west (I was 13 and didn't speak to anyone for a week)
3. 1980 - miss st. (The de facto end of the Bryant dynasty-Don Jacobs fumbles twice inside the MSU 5 yard line in the 4th qtr and we lose 6-3)
4. 2011- LSU
5. 2000 iron bowl
Punt Bama Punt
Sounds like me and you are of the same generation and have to agree with you on choice of games
2000 Southern Miss
2003 UT ahhh! 4th and 19
2012 Texas A&M
Fran was 2-0 vs. Southern Miss....
28-15 and 20-7 victories
Dubose lost 0-21 if you are thinking of that?
my top 5 losses are
2000 Southern miss
2008 Sugar Bowl
5 overtime loss to UT in 03
2007 loss to LSU (I think the team gave up after that, and prompted the La Monroe game)
1994 loss to UF in SECCG
I have to give an honorable mention to 2006 win vs. Duke. I was at that game and never ever experienced a win feel like a loss before. That was the game i think Shula lost the fans. Everyone was so happy and all smiles before the game and afterwards you would have thought we lost.

I was there also. Their band played rocky top too if I remember correctly. Bastages.
UT was 2003, I was there for that one....it sucked.
I think maybe just because it was recent but LSU 2011 for me because I really believed (correctly) that 2011 was the best Alabama team of my lifetime and just a lot better than LSU.
Games like LA Monroe I guess were kind of embarrassing but not very significant at all and really didn't matter that much to me as the team was transitioning.
1. 1973 Notre Dame
2. 1972 Iron Bowl
A somewhat distant 3rd...2010 Iron Bowl
No other loss is worth mentioning in the same post.

Ditto above for me
I am thankful for this thread. Although it brings up lots of bad memories...those bad memories only serve to remind us of how good we have it now and to remind us to treasure every moment we have now as we are looking for yet another championship this year.
1. 2010 iron bowl
2. 2011 lsu game #1
3. 2000 iron bowl
4. 2012 aTm
5. 1999 la tech
Id put the 2000 Central FL loss on HC on there somewhere too. That was one of the worst days in my life for many other reasons. Game just compounded my woes.
Im sure there are others but the dubose- shula eras are a blur to me. All ancient history now

Totally understand your music city bowl woes. I was there too
Any loss to Auburn takes on another level of losing just because of who it is. My personal worst losses are below:
2010 Iron Bowl in a landslide because it led to Auburn winning the national title.
After that, list is as follows:
'86 Iron Bowl-first football game I ever attended. I was 6 and it crushed me.
'89 Iron Bowl-Undefeated year ending in Jordan Hare is the opposite of fun
'95 Iron Bowl-Curtis Brown was inbounds and it definitely would have been a Bama win if there was replay.
Sensing a theme?
'97 Iron Bowl-Dubose, Arians...shaking my head.....all we had to do was run the ball and we win.
'05 Iron Bowl-Brodie getting sacked a lot.
Then we have the non-Auburn crushing losses:
'88 LSU-I swear Doyle's FG was good.
'95 Tennessee-Peyton destroys us and the streak is over. Blowout losses are so depressing especially to teams like Tennessee.
'03-5 OT game against Tennessee; we had it....4th and 19!!!
'10 LSU-the reverse was complete stomach punch
'11-LSU-at the time, it seemed like we were out of the picture for championship...hurt b/c I thought that Bama team was dominant and had lost their chance for a championship.
