Quote from Dr. Phil interview to be aired Thursday: Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love. I asked him straight up, 'Was this a romantic relationship with you?' And he says yes. I said, 'Are you then therefore gay?' And he said, 'When you put it that way, yes.' And then he caught himself and said 'I am confused.'
I still say Te'o is involved
In an interview with Dr. Phil McGraw that will air Thursday, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo says the voice of Manti Te'o's girlfriend, Lennay Kekua, was his and that Te'o had no role in the hoax.
YEP. Knew this would be the angle this thing went eventually. It had to. Nothing else made any sense. This however, does. A little (g)
Whatever it is, and I don't think we will ever know now, they all have dug into this story, I think its 15 minutes should be up. Well except for 20 years from now when Teo does a tell all book to make money and comes out on whoever is the hot talk show host at that time.

I agree, this guy is taking all the heat for his boyfriend. Mant'i knew, plus it doesn't explain why the Arizona Cardinals fullback said he met the fake dead girl. Either Mant'i is trapped in the closet or this was a publicity agenda and all of the Samoan football mafia was in on it.

the gay angle for me was the only thing that made the most sense. I dont think we will ever get the full story unless Te'o rights a book.
So Tuiasosopo apologized to Diane O'Meara who's photo he was using portraying "Lennay". However, Manti requests a picture from "Lennay", when she calls on Dec 6 to say she is alive, doing some sign so he will know it is her and we all see this photo in Katie Couric's interview. Does not make sense. I think they are all involved and can't get their stories straight. No pun intended.
he is trapped in the closet like a mouse that got into a food pantry and ate everything in there...

of course, they're all involved...
He shouldn't have said "I am confused" all he had to do was say "no homo" and this all goes away.
We all know how this works. You can practically do or say anything and as long as you say "no homo" it isn't gay.

I'm not dumb, but I can't understand;
Why he tackles like a woman, but accepts awards like a man.
"That's the way it goes. But don't forget, it goes the other way too."
Simply put...Teo is gay...using a fake girlfriend to cover it up...didn't want it out until after draft...butt the bomb went off....makes more sense now.
^^^^^^^^^ The truth is easy to remember, it's the lies that give them problems.

Cue the line from "Can't Hardly Wait" when Peter Facinelli is made a fool at the party:
At this point we have an overrated football player paddling as fast as he can to stay above water for the upcoming NFL draft.
I'm sorry but the voice I heard from the messages that were left on Manti's cell phone on sportscenter was not a man's voice unless that man underwent surgery and took estrogen pills A LOT. I have no idea if T'eo was in on it but there was a woman involved in it. No dude can sound that much like a woman.
I agree, the voice did sound womanish..there are voice alteration apps that can make him sound like a female
The media doesn't really seem that interested in getting to the truth. They like the poor deceived guy story better apparently.
whatever you say manti. gay.
^^^ This ^^^
^^^ . . . and this ^^^
I'd bet a lot of money that no more than maybe a handful of people have seen the show 'Catfish' on MTV... I'm ashamed to admit that after watching one episode with my wife I was quite interested.
I thought this whole situation was ridiculous beyond comprehension, but if anyone could see the episode with Tyler, I think you might at least reconsider what happened here. There are some seriously messed up people out there.
This kid Tyler, good looking guy, seemed smart and all that, for whatever reason I guess had been in an online relationship with a "hot girl" for a couple years. After getting in contact with the crew of this show they finally arrange to meet the girl for the first time. When they arrived it was a gay African American young man who didn't even see anything wrong with what he had done, and he claimed to care very deeply for Tyler.
I guess to sum it up, it's fun to joke and all this and that and from where we sit it doesn't hurt anyone involved, but none of us have a freakin clue and perhaps Teo was just having his own issues, truly thought he had something special and when he realized he had been duped he decided to say he died, just so he wouldn't be questioned?
I don't even care if everyone makes jokes about it, doesn't offend or bother me because its human nature. But to think that any of us understand what's really going on in these people's lives, that would be a poor assumption to make I think.
(I have not followed this story closely so there may be facts that make my point irrelevant... If so... Oops :) )
For all of us old enough to remember...if the guy hit like former Vol All-American LB Jackie Walker, no one would care.
