Thank you sir and +1!
I'm sure some here know this, but I'm sure many don't...
Players selected to the Army All-American HS game are all part of a card set. You can find their autos and base cards with a quick eBay search of "Alabama army auto".
“You are not entitled to your opinion. You are entitled to your informed opinion. No one is entitled to be ignorant.”
Agree...I collect and that's the way to go. The most pricey cards will be the autos...especially the mulitples. Trent's stuff is also pricey.
There will be tons of the 100 card base set on ebay within a couple of weeks or less. And they will be cheap. Dealers will be opening case upon case for the autographs and serial numbered inserts, and they will have so many base sets collated, I bet you could get them for around $20 (just an educated guess). I would suggest you buy a box. If the collation is good, you will likely get a base set or close to it plus you will get 50+ inserts, including an autographed card. Who knows, you could get an autograph that will pay for the box. Looks like box prices are $45-60 range.
The most disappointing omission as far as I can tell is no Johnny Musso. Can't believe he was left out. Had to have been some kind of licensing (dis)agreement or something. No way they just overlooked the Italian Stallion.
No Richard Todd either?
I have a birthday coming up, maybe I can get the wife to order me a box
I second that! What kid didn't want to be Musso and let there shoulder pads flop with home made tear away's.
